Hi gibs
Finally this evening got round to setting up your Tiny Launcher, just been using it on winuae, which I have to say Great Stuff love the way its all set-up and the navigation of it all, works great. With winuae you can assign a reset button on the joypad and with it set-up in the startup sequence to launch the tiny launcher before the WB but can it quit from a game and go back to the game list on a real amiga? read all the posts but not sure if I missed it!! Anyway as I said Great Stuff and look forward to having a CD Tiny Launcher on my CDTV and CD32 Cheers |

I'm loving this! My only complaint is that it's sometimes hard to jump down just 1 level. It's like it's too sensitive, other than that, brilliant!

Thanks guys.
The next version (with database etc look at the first post of this thread) should be available this weekend. @DonAmiga I'll look -if in some cases- it is possible to return to the launcher after quitting a game. @XDelusion Maybe are you using an ACA board with acatune before tiny launcher ? I don't have sensitive problems even with my Blizzard 1260. So for my Amiga ACA inside, I launch TinyLauncher before Acatune in the startup-sequence... Anyway, if you don't want to bypass your acatune settings, there are 2 hidden keys since the first version, to accelerate and decelerate. just hit "+" and "-". Here is the 1.5 version: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1566495/Tiny...Launcher15.lzh
Press [F1] to generate or update the database on your HDD. The database is located in S:TinyLauncher If you don't want it anymore, just delete the files. Have a nice sunday launching your favorites games Last edited by gibs; 06 November 2011 at 12:32. |

I had to replace my USB CF reader so I could only test this right now. The additions are implemented nicely but I'm sorry to say that I'm crashing to desktop while trying to build an ECS game database of 1840 titles. AGA and Demos work fine, none have over 300 titles but the recording of ECS games come to an end at around 640 titles. I can manually scan them fine without crashes.

More info:
TinyLauncher only makes the .db file for ECS games, not the other small file. Writes 15.975 bytes into it and crashes. Is there a file size limit? I moved the last game it was able to add to the database and also the next one it should have, out of the ECS folder and scanned again. Crashed at the exact spot so it's not an issue about individual games or file names. |

Hi Gibs!
I have a stock A600. I'm using TL1.5 but when I run it, after the LOADING R:... TL closes and return to the WB screen... I'm totally newbie on Amiga. I've downloaded some whdload games (such as Arkanoid, Apydia) but none worked. What's wrong? I simply copied the directory game to my TLGECS directory. Is that right? I read about the *.tl files... what is this? I have to create this file for each game? I have a DH0:TLGECS: and the games (Apydia, Arkanoid, etc). Do I have to create a .tl file inside of these directories? How? ))))) And... can I run TL inside the Workbench? Or only in the shell? Thanks! Last edited by AmBr; 10 November 2011 at 16:07. |

AmBr: Yes I noticed this issue. This is because you're not using a 3.1 Kickstart
So it's not really true that it's working on a "stock A600" because it needs the Kickstart 3.1 Loading(R) means that low memory has been detected and it's going to use the RAD disk to launch your game but even if Tiny Launcher doesn't need the RAD driver on your local drive, *I THINK* it needs the Kickstart 3.1 at least... I think I'm going to put back TinyLauncherSE in download, it works with the Kickstart 2.0. Sorry about that. |
