- Moonstone
Dat lightning sample, heh. Overall fine setting of mood and tone for the game. - Mega lo Mania Also had no idea back in the day that the in-game music of Mega lo Mania was not original stuff, but Gustav Holst: [ Show youtube player ] At least haven't spotted yet if the intro is borrowed too. |

Bart Simpson versus the space mutants was good even though Bart looked like he had down syndrome.
The stooges intro was great and so was Chuck rock. |

AFAIK only German jets saw actual human combat. American jets had zero combat (only a few test recon flights in-theatre) and the British jets were reserved for shooting down V-1 missiles.

Luckily there seems to exist the AGA fixed version "Moonstone (1991)(Mindscape)[cr CSL][f AGA LSA]", but I can't be bothered to write disks now to see what happens. I remember always having a version which crashed right at the end boss on my original A500 setup, and I overwrote that version with another one sometime after I bought an A600 but before I bought an A1200. I'm pretty sure I had to try a few different dumps to find a proper one, so it wasn't just because of a faulty copy, but can't remember if I ever did find one because it was so long ago. Probably not, because those disks I just tried had write protection off, which is something I never normally leave off, heh. |

The intro from First Samurai is pretty good at setting the mood for the game: nice music (although not very samurai-esque) and a nice art style for telling the story.
[ Show youtube player ] Music starts at 0:23 and "real" intro starts at 1:07 |

Nothing can top Another World, but I think Supremacy (which I've just been playing) comes in close second for me.

Super Space Invaders was impressive with an equally impressive outro.
Especially as we're exclusive to the home computer versions and not on the arcade original. Of course Blood Money, Shadow of the Beast 2, Xenon 2 spring to mind also. Three Stooges with the cake Defender if the Crown intro is class as is Rocket Ranger which sets the scene brilliantly in a B movie fashion |

Glad Super Space Invaders got plenty of mentions, beautifully animated with very nice sounds.
Got some fondness for Wrath Of The Demon, love the atmosphere, little short but sets a great vibe for the game. Another game that gave me goose bumps was It Came From The Desert, that voice... |
