I forgot, there's also IffView that I used on the PacMan'96 disk but it does require 2.0+

Have you looked into some coverdisks? I remember pilfering a viewer command from a The One disk that probably runs fine on 1.3. I just can't remember which

Wasn't Commodore's own viewer, bundled with OS 2.0, also called Show?

Early CU Amiga coverdisks (and indeed other magazines such as AF) used CLI IFF viewers quite often as part of their presentation. In particular there was a couple of small AmigaDOS commands I recall using around twenty years ago on PD compilation disks I made for friends at school, I don't recall the command names unfortunately.

What made these commands special was one command opened the IFF file, and the other one closed it, handy if you had a few commands in your script and want the image to stay active while the script is doing its thing and go away once it's finished.

I think I got them from CU17 (Sep '91), but I could be mistaken.
