Amiga 500 FastRAM expansion - internal (68k socket) vs external (Zorro)

Looking through this forum I find a few OpenSource FastRAM expansion projects for the A500(+). As far as I can see, most if not all are internal, socketed in the 68K cpu socket on the A500 MainBoard.

I can see a few advantages to this:
1) Visual and Space - The expansion is unseen and does not take extra space as the external/Zorro solution does
2) Cost(?) - no edge connector needed

I am looking for the external solution for similar to the legacy ram expansions - they are fairly narrow and does not take up too much space.
My main reason for this is to add an ATX PSU connector to power the A500(+) by an ATX PSU - similar to the Zorro expansion add-on PCB available for the Checkmate A1500+

Does anybody know of such a project?

I have a Z-500 and external Reference ram....the reference ram is your best bet....they come up for sale on eBay at random times.

I think this Kipper2k style internal expansion is available also without CF slot? Maximum in both cases is 8MB. For this specific application I would like a very small or vertical sidecar expansion. I don't remember seeing one like this, but maybe there is one?
