I always thought the A1200 was the best looking one.

There's only one answer to the question of which is the best looking Amiga.

Mine is!

I think the first batches of A1200 like ours, were most likely made from great quality plastic.
Thank God! I almost thought i was the only one! Bye the way does your A1200 cursor keys are grey, because mine are grey instead of white? I never knew why...

No mate, you are not the only one. with a bit of proper wipe over with a cloth and a replacement of the spacbar ( although the spacebar is still pretty white, just tinge of yellowing ) it would look far off a brand new machine

And no!, my A1200 does not have grey cursor keys? they are white, but that is a little strange that yours "are" grey !?!?!???. Did you buy your machine back in 1992 brand new from the shop?, or did you buy it 2nd hand??

Maybe it just needs some reassurance? ;-)

I vote the 1200 for miss Amiga 2008

Loved the A1200 I still remember buying a 60830 processor board, slotting it into the trapdoor and having to bend the metal protector casing inside to make it fit correctly.

Good times.

My A500 have spent about five years beneath a blue carpet on my table. It's so ugly and it don't fit at all to my pile of other devices that are black or silver. Sorry Amy!

A500 all the way for me, it's just a 'classic' case and you can spot it a mile off.

A1200/600's are nice cases but always felt flimsy in terms of quality compared to the 500.

1000 would be my second choice, very well built and well thought out with the keyboard garage/mouse & joy ports on the side and somewhere for your monitor to sit

3000 desktop would be third - probably the nicest looking of the desktops but lacking the 1000 originality so is 2nd...

2000/4000 are basic shapes and too IBM'ish in looks for me although it's whats on the inside that counts

CDTV/CD32 - CDTV would easily win due to a nicer quality finish, shame the cd32 never came in a nice chassis like the CDTV

The A1000 gets my vote, by a wide margin.

The small desktop footprint and the hideaway keyboard make it sort of blend in to its environment neatly, and in general, it just looks a lot less like any of the "ugly box" computers that there were so many of, or one of the many "all-in-one" keyboard types like the A500 or the ST. It just looks like a professional design to me.

Exactly! I agree with you 100%!

(I've got almost every Amiga set up beside me and all I have to do is look around me to compare them.)

I believe the A600 is the best looking of the lot. The one I have here is still snow white and looks like new. Actually it looks like a nice toy. But with its 8GB CF drive and 8 Mbyte expansion fast ram it is not a toy at all.

A1200 all the way. Still doesn't look that dated now.

Goes down in my books as the best Amiga I ever owned.

Wow, that looks indeed awesome. Even if the A500 will stay for nostalgic reasons at #1, the CDTV in that condition is surely the nicest looking Amiga I've ever seen Thanks for the picture Old Fool
