VRML on the Amiga

Is the only VRML implementation for the Amiga the incomplete code from Stephan Bodmer?

VRML could be used as a very powerful, fully spec-ed 3D interface language... especially if you used it in the top half of your interface, leaving the bottom half for program controls... you really could control ANYTHING in 3-space with it.

Would anyone like to discuss methods of implementing VRML without using MESA, as a native Amiga ground-up 3D project?

The flat-render algorithm for Allegro Scene Render would make a nice addition to the AGA chipset if you replaced the horizontal fill operations with blitter-accelerated border bit generation by exclusive or-ing each color with the color to the right of it. You could even get photo-realistic gray-scale.
