I sometimes use my A1200 as a sledge hammer, but too often!

Just gaming. Any tinkering is to get games installed and working. I'm equally curious about what people used to do with their Amigas. Seems like gaming is the primary activity now and I suspect the same was true back in the day.

I play music with my Amiga, mod, Future composer and other formats (yes even MP3:s).
Currently only have my A1200 up and running, but my A4000 is going to be permanently on my desk once I get more space when my kids move out in about 20 years from now. Then when I have more time for myself in the future I am also going to do all those things I have wanted to do when I did not have a high end Amiga. |

Most of the time I play games (I am the contestant of EAB/Lemon Gamers League) but I also do some other work. I write articles for polish news portal using an immortal CED, do a lot of translations, do localisations of some Amiga software, do some graphics using amazing ArtEffect and Personal Paint/Image Studio which are the best tools to create transparent logos (I couldn't find anything on PC which would suit me). I watch some scene demos, fancy some ripping gfx and music from games or just discover what's inside of them. I also examine stuff I downloaded from the net. I have it burned on CD-RWs which content is being slowly scrutinized by me

Gaming, MSN (when the 1200 is on, I only have one monitor, no KVM), Internet stuff (diddle), music, fiddling with the OS, more gaming, program translation (ATO)...
When all Amigas are off I feel something wrong in the force... ![]() |

![]() Not using my 1200 for anything myself, it's just too comfortable using WinUAE instead. Would never get rid of the 1200 though. |

I work daily on WinUAE (OS 3.9 + Scalos) to create web sites (a text editor, AWeb, ImageFX, PPaint 7, AmiTradeCenter), I mail with Yam, I tchat with Jabberwocky and AmiIRC, I edit and manage my personal pictures with ImageFX. Arexx is highly used about all of that.
XP (locked SP2) is used for web surfing and debugging (Opera), printing (OpenOffice) and video editing (Ulead Videostudio). |

AsmOne, games, demos. I can do anything on my PC, but the Amiga strangely attracts my attention to this day.

I use my Amigas for everything except internet and things that I have to use the PC for. Actually the only real Amiga I use regularly is my A3000/060 but it's a secondary role, my primary Amiga is WinUAE because of blinding speed and it works great.
![]() Sometimes when Windows has really annoyed or frustrated me I turn on WinUAE or a real Amiga, it's very soothing. ![]() ![]() |

I use my 1200 for demos and whdinstalled games, games on amiga is still awesome coz they don't take a lifetime for a few rounds of fun and a highscore, too bad noone makes them anymore, would be great with some new shoot'em ups and a couple of new pinball tables
