RGBtoHDMI setting

Hi,

Is it possible with RGBtoHDMI to have a 4/3 image on a 16/9 screen (with black bands on each side for example).
I tried different settings but didn't succeed.
is it possible ?

Isn't 4:3 a default mode

My adapters display a 4:3 picture, and I haven't tinkered with the settings at all.

I would even say *most* recent monitors have a scaling setting and usually default is not 4:3 so it needs to be changed.

I think this option is normally only available on the analogue VGA-input.
I recently got an AOC 24E1Q. It can take 15 kHz / 50 Hz from the Amiga on the VGA-input and you can set scaling to 4:3 mode, but this scaling-option gets disabled when using the HDMI-input. See pics below. Luckily the RGBtoHDMI-device can do the scaling.

Here is a video where I step through the different RGBtoHDMI scaling options.

Edit:
For information, I had to run the calibration program (Auto Calibrate Video Sampling) available in the RGBtoHDMI Main Menu to get a flawless picture through HDMI, before that there were some noise in the picture. After calibration it's a stellar picture, I'm very happy with this monitor and it was very cheap. A lot of "bang for the buck" in my opinion.
