Wanted: A3000D PSU repair!
Hi all,
My A3000D LITON Power Supply has become faulty. Symptoms are that the machine will power on briefly before the psu then shuts itself down. Sometimes the machine will run for a few seconds or minutes, sometimes it will power off within less than a second. I checked the machine for any shorts, removed all devices and expansion cards, and then finally tried an ATX PSU - this works fine, so I suspect that it's the PSU itself that is the fault. Requesting that someone might take a look at the PSU and hopefully offer a repair service. Please PM if you can help. Ideally UK based due to postal issues and the 'B' word, but i'd be happy to post to the EU if necessary. Would cover all postage and service costs, naturally. Thanks! |

Cool.
Did you do it yourself? If you used a commercial service who was it? How much was it? Did you send the PSU away? Buy a caps kit? Anyone looking up "A3000D PSU repair" in the future (at least in the UK) will wonder how you got on. |

A recap was needed and a general clean up as it was dusty as hell. 5 caps in total including two big 470uf ones. Done by a chap who contacted me on a discord group for a very reasonable price (much less then was quoted by a couple of well known uk ‘retro’ companies who wanted at least £50 for an inspection alone).
