JACK, do you remember which AF article it was? Would be good to look it up on amr.abime.net. Did it mention that 030 accelerators had problems as well? My A1200 that had problems had an older rev... I think one of the later ones with a full clockport, maybe a 1B. But being secondhand, anything goes, may not be speicifc to any revision.

Alright, the 64MB SIMM arrived today, at long last. I installed it, and everything is working great now!
Thanks a lot for your advice, everyone! I'm really glad to have joined a forum with so many knowledgeable and friendly people. |

Hi All,
After about 20 years, I finally got my hands on an A1200!!! and in addition to this a Blizzard 1230/50!!! I believe I have the 1230 installed correctly. It sits on the two guide rails, however I can't manage to get the expansion cover back on! See pictures attached. I really want a complete clean setup. Any ideas why the cover wont go on correctly? P.S., I've opened the A1200 to ensure the 1230 is inserted all the way. This has me stumped! Last edited by PR77; 25 May 2019 at 23:20. |

My A1200's blizzard card does this exact same thing. It's nothing to worry about.

It's a very tight fit, you'll find that the small rails on the inside of the cover are just catching the edge of the crystal or SIMM socket. It might be possible to nudge the board a fraction in the other direction to get it to fit, or else put a slight bevel on the inside edge of the rail on the lid so it finds its own way in.
Oh, and nice thread necro |
