old game.. what is it??
OK, just been having a chat with the wife about a game she used to play on my PC back in 1998/99 time(roughly) and I simply can't fathom out what game it is(or which platform as I had an expanded Amiga A1200 at the time as well as a PC with various emulators)
Apparently it is very similar to Aladdin but in 3D - 3rd person. I first thought of something along the lines of Pandemonium 2, after reloading it up and using a glide wrapper she has decided that that isn't it. She also mentioned it was a jump n run type of thing. She remembers pots being thrown out of windows but am not sure if she is getting confused with the 2D Aladdin game? Any idea's ?? |

1998/99? Do you know what the objective of the game was? That might give more of a clue.
So it was a kind of 3D platform game in 3rd person? I remember a game called 'American McGee's Alice' which was about then I suppose but that would be a memorable title/theme so I doubt it was that. Maybe Crash Bandicoot? Check this wiki entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Platform_Game There are some cinematic platformers in there that maybe of help. Like maybe Another World which is similar to Prince of Persia. But those are just guesses. If only we knew what the game was about. And I just found a good list but it is just a list so might not help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_platform_games |

thanks for your input so far chaps, but not them I'm afraid. I was thinking Prince of Persia 3D or similar.
The objective of the game ..... not a clue, just know it was something along the lines of a 3d version of Aladdin, I also was thinking about Tomb Raider but I never had it at that time. Hopefully I'll get more info as she thinks about it. |

I don't know if this will help, but you could try:
Code:

Thanks so far, still can't seem to find it.
Have racked my brains, your brains and so has the wife and she can't take it further with regards to what it was called, objectives etc... Think I'll call it a day on this one. Thanks for your idea's. |

On my '040 (as far as I can remember, it's been a while) it wasn't exactly lightning fast but it was fairly steady. I think there are options to turn off graphical detail and things too so that would make a difference.
