EAB/Lemon Super League 2019 Round 12: Pro Tennis Tour II

EAB/Lemon Super League 2019 Round 12: Pro Tennis Tour 2

Starts: 12:01 September 22nd Finishes: 11:59 October 13th

Get your towels and sweatbands ready. For the first time ever we're playing a Tennis game in the league!

Settings

1. Enter Preferences:

2. Choose "best of five" sets and the course type you want to play on - grass, sand or hard court (we'll be playing on all three types):

3. Select Average skill level and male gender for player 1:

4. Select male gender for player 2 - the CPU opponent:

Leave all other settings on DEFAULT! (Name changes are allowed.)
Press EXIT.

5. On the main screen select the court to start the match on the previously selected court-type:

Rules

Play a match (best of 5 sets) on all three course types.

Score per match is calculated this way:

((3 + won sets - lost sets) * 4) + (19 + won games - lost games)
Formula optimized - multiplier changed from 100 to 4

Examples:

6:4 6:2 6:7 6:1 victory = ((3+3-1)*4) + (19+24-14) = 20 + 29 = 49

0:6 0:6 0:6 loss = ((3+0-3)*4) + (19 + 0 - 18 ) = 0 + 1 = 1 (this way a minimum score of 1 is guaranteed)

Your best scores for all three courses are added for your final score.

Should you manage to win all three matches (on all course-types) 6:0 6:0 6:0 to get a perfect score of 183 points you are eligible to try the UBER CHALLENGE.

UBER CHALLENGE

Defeat 2 CPU-controlled male opponents as 1 average female on the hard court with a perfect 6:0 6:0 6:0 to get 1 bonus point and thus the maximum possible total score of 184 points.

To try this challenge go to the preferences and

1. Select hard court, 1 vs 2-playmode and best of five sets:

2. Now set both Player 1 AND Player 2 to CPU and male gender!

3. In order to play alone against two CPU opponents [u]you[/b] have to be Player 3. Select Average skill level and female gender:

4. Exit and select the court to play the match.

Post a picture of your match results here with the score written underneath. Enter as often as you like. Only scores achieved during the round's time frame count.

No cheating of any kind (including score leeching) - this includes save states. No continues/passwords allowed. If you suspect anyone of cheating please let us know in private - anyone found guilty will be banned for the entire season.

Remember, anyone can join in at any time. Have fun and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

AFAIK they are identical besides the naming so I'm inclined to say yes. But let's wait what lifeschool thinks.

Sorry if it was already debated with an other game, but it still possible play one vs the other with a winuae kailera or something like that.

if there is multiple gold medal , it's the only way to find one winner.

That's true but too much hassle. We've had multiple golds before and it's no problem.

Just to clarify: you are given 100 skill points to spend on your attributes. We aren't using those?

I have a little problem :
I did a match,i win, but it goes very too fast for me to take a screenshot !
I don't even think that it wrote the last 6/x... It stay at 5/x.
Perhaps the disk version let you the time to make a screenshot ??
I tried with the whdload version.

Please try again with only one set and press P to pause after your winning strike. Does that work?

edit: In case it does not work then we'll let the setting on "best of five" but will actually only play "best of three".
Meaning we pause the game once you or the CPU has won two sets and take a pic (the formula will be changed accordingly).

I only ask because I've had a few goes and can't win more than a handful of games!

Back in the day I was unstoppable at this game. I've started to remember some of the formulas for success, but ti's taking a while to play them out...

Wow ! Was not an easy takeover (correct word ?). I was so good at this game against the computer BitD. 6:0-6:1 was usual, but now for my 1st play after so many years... It was a Wawrinka like play in 5 sets and about 2.5 hours !!! And saying that I wanted a quick play to do something else after...

Score on clay court : 424 = ((3 + 3 - 2) * 100) + (19 + 23 - 18)

@turrican3 : Maybe there is something different between the WHDLoad version and the ADF (I played the ADF version of the game) as after the play I got this screen :

I've been unable to find any differences in the games from my research, but that doesnt meant there aren't any. If Graham were here he would say "Pro Tennis 2 was voted in, and thats the one we will play", because it covers our backs if everyone plays the same game; in case one has better AI, or something which was finished or tweaked after initial release. Looking at the HOL entries for these games, one could have been a leaked pre-release? For the sake of the compo, lets just go with Pro Tennis Tour 2.

edited: i'll try the adf and will stick with it... If it shows the score, i will just use this one, no problem for me.

Wow, almost maxed out already after less than 24 hours!

@lifeschool: It's no prerelease. In Germany we only knew this game by the name Great Courts 2.

But it's no problem to just stick with Pro Tennis Tour II.
