Amiga CD's found on Newserver

Hi didnt know where to put this, so if the mods can move to the correct place.
I was searching on a newserver my isp supplies me with and found 6 amiga cd's names are

Fish & More vol.1 (1990)
Fish Market v2.4
FrozenFish August 1995
GoldFish Volume3
Music mod & sound effect cd

if you have access to a newserver look in alt.binaries.emulators.amiga
files where dated 06/04/09 or yesterday, I'm downloading all of the above cd's no idea of how long it will take, about 4 hrs i think, if my current speed holds.

Hi Andy,

Thanks for this news!

I haven't got access to a newserver myself, but items like this are always interesting. Keep up the good work!

Going to upload onto need to recompress from zip to rar though should be smaller then, due to 100mb limit, they will need to be split.
current total size of all files 2.60gb, each cd will be seperate so no need to download all just to get 1.
uploading, well my max is a 24kb per sec, so sometime to upload.
I will post the folder link to where i'm uploading not each file.
For those interested in downloading them, I will post a note when each one is completed. Probably using the above list and putting a * Done
i will also upload a par2 file so u can check the files.
1 master par2, for all the files, and minor par2 for each cd with recovery par2 files aswell.
after all the cds have been uploaded.

IF magix gives me permission to upload the cd's to his ftp i will upload there aswell.

link to the amiga folder. had a few teething troubles with telling me i didnt have flash installed when i did.
use the link below to download whats been upped.

[Link removed - Graham]

EVERYTHING UPLOADED added a checksum.md5 file with 2 programs to check

Hi Andy,

Firstly, your personal upload account is only working with new web based file server. You can not use that with FTP Clients.

And second, please check this post.

OK, read the message, now before i begin uploading the files to the ftp site, can you see anything there which would be deleted in my third post, and i just released i still need to create a md5 file. ok, done.

Uploading onto the ftpserver. as requested created a folder with my ID, and uploading begins, i'm doing the upload over night but its still going to take around 25-26hrs to upload all of it as in the cd's mentions above.
well, well, well, when i got up this morning and took a look at flashfxp see to how many of the files it had uploaded which i expected to be at least half of the 28 that i had selected. I found that after 2hr 50min out of the 8hrs i had left my computer on for uploading the files, only managed to upload 2 of the files.
there are a total of 19x99mb files and the rest slightly smaller, so if every 2hrs 50min i'm going to get disconnected and it takes 2hr 50 to upload 2x99 i see there is no point in me uploading files when i'm in bed asleep.
so glad i had compressed and split with rar and that i wasnt uploading the rar compressed single archive
my upload speed is a max 24KB a sec, approx 84mb per hour.

I dont know why i am having so much damn trouble uploading 1 file. i've had to resume it 4 times
1 file in 8 hours is stupid. so if it doesnt upload on this 4th resume, i'm deleting the file, and you'll have to get the rest from , using the link i posted.
all day and i've uploaded about 3 files.

first of all, ALL CD mention have been uploaded. and now for the bad news. I just checked the newserver again and there are some more amiga cd's

17bit Phrase 4 *uploaded, supplied with par2 and .sfv to check files. 100% perfect on my machine, no recovery file required.
CD32 Gamer Vol 10 *done
CD32 Gamer Vol 4 *done
Demos are forever *donr
Octamed SoundStudio v1 not uploaded
Weird Science Multimedia ToolKit *done

I am downloading all of them, I dont think i will be able to upload Octamed as its still on sale (I think) but i should be able to reup the other cd's. if i get the time.
Will upload as they are, no re-packing into bigger files.

I should have checked this thread earlier then I could have passed on the same message as CF

There is 1 problem with back to the/your roots, you cant download the entire cd or your not suppose to download the entire cd. I downloaded the cd via a newserver as it was uploaded by someone else, I decided to reup to the ftp for those people who would like to download it. If you only want 2 or 3 of the floppies get it from back to your roots, if you would like the cd instead download it.

Andy I wasn't having a go at you - only stating what I thought was correct.

I've just checked and you can download the full CDs. i.e. On this page http://www.back2roots.org/CDs/PD-Soft/ if you click on the CD title it will download the full 468mb CD in zip format.

I assume it's the same with the rest

Thanks Thorham. Links removed for now. I can't imagine Cloanto would be too happy about that. Actually I'm surprised no-one noticed this before (or maybe they did).
