Horizon Zero Dawn

Probably everyone who knows me, know that I rarely get into new games. Usually I am behind even trying new game, even when I own them. This little PS4 gem got me interested and by far it is best game so far I played on PS4.

From post-apocalyptic theme, great heroine with voice of Ashly Burch, to great fights, strategy, weapons... and everything accompanied by great sound effects as well music.

First time you have to climb on Tallneck and jump-rope from it, open world where you can admire details and length that creator went in creating this crazy world. Just when you notice that Tallnecks are actually different from each other.

I am somewhere around half through game and game is just getting more and more enjoyable as well challenging.

9.5/10

Usually any game voiced by Tiny Tina is worth it

Well, it took me about 4 weeks to finish this game, not 100% yet, but very close (~90%) Still have to complete some Hunting Grounds and collect some 'records' in game to get 100%. As I was progressing with story, I was worry it will be something like Assasin Creed - first game that has an awful ending - but to my big surprise, ending was nothing less then the game - great experience and great closure to current story, with open door for future games.

Well made game with great character and great story... in my opinion, one of the games that makes PS4 better option then xBox One.

A little late to the party.

I purchased a PS4 Pro because of Red Dead Redemption 2 and the fact Sony has, imo, a better selection of single player games and less of crappy online FPS/RPG games.

Well, RDR2 wasn't exactly what I'd hoped it to be, especially not when I loved everything about the first game and Undead Nightmare on the 360.
The controls are just too cumbersome and annoying compared to the first game.

I though great, another doorstopper just purchased, like the money I wasted on the Switch, Zelda+DLC finished and that's that.

Fortunately I stumbled across Horizon Complete Edition whilst browsing the PSN store.
Holy hell, what a game, 60+ hours spent so far and I haven't even bothered finishing the main quest yet, just running about exploring the world doing errands/side quests.
Damn I love this game.

I have heard/read that it's a great game but it's still not enough for me to purchase a PS4 to replace my aging PS3 as of yet.

My PS3 is just a media player for both DLNA and Bluray.

Does Sony even offer a version with a Bluray player or do you have to get an external Bluray player ?

No idea, I don't own a single Bluray movie, so can't say.

I thought was PS4 was able to play them with a system software update installed, could be wrong though, idk.

On the other hand, I'm quite amazed how silent the PS4 Pro runs.
At full load I can barely hear the fan or HDD running.

Nice to hear it's a quiet machine, I have looked at them as I've had to replace my PS3 already due to a failure of some kind, this was long before the PS4 was released.

PS4 works just fine as BR player (I use it) and compared to XBox One - plays BR better. (no wonder, as for XBox you have to download crappy app to play movie, not case for PS4, just load BR and shows on dashboard) I connected also external 5TB HD, as you can quickly run out of space with all good games being 30+ GB.

As for Horizon Zero Dawn - one of games that just sinks you into different world... just incredible experience, imho worth getting PS4, and tell you the truth, I do like XBox one, but games like this do make PS4 better option.

Exactly, awesomeness.
Btw, I just got the Shield-Weaver armor from the Ancient Armory.
Talk about feeling somewhat invincible.

Yep I'm right with you but I've done it the opposite way around

Played Horizon all the way through + Frozen Wilds on my PS4 Pro and loved it, such an amazing game. Graphics are next gen, controls and game play are excellent and even the story is engaging.

The Shield-Weaver armor makes it too easy, I stopped using it

Just started playing RDR2 and also hate the controls (I keep punching my horse for no good reason and it takes half an hour to take a weapon from the saddle).

Obviously it looks fantastic but those controls are a complete nightmare

Oh FFS (not FastFileSystem) I feel stupid right now.
A few weeks ago I changed my login email address to PSN, then yesterday I went to PSN shop on my PC to purchase Bloodstained - Ritual of the Night, three times in a row PSN puked with "connection to server lost"..

Not until today did it occur to me, did I also change the login settings on the PS4 itself? No.. no I did not.. D'oooh.
