Finally had a chance to play some of these classic games again from this great collection. I see that Test Drive II - The Duel is included but without the addon car disks the supercars and the musclecars and also scenery disks california challenge and european challenge. Are you planning on adding these?
Could I also have a link to update 18 please?

That's been mentioned before but I totally forgot to look into this

Not sure it's possible when running from floppy disks so may have to install everything to .HDF i.e. either a native install or just use the WHDLoad version.

...will investigate further.

Ok done

...decided that I might as well just use the WHDLoad version so have created a bare-bones / self-booting .HDF with this set up.

Just do the following:
  • Delete the configuration file "C:\WinUAE\Configurations\Test Drive II - The Duel.uae".
  • Delete the <gamedir> "C:\WinUAE\Games\Test Drive II - The Duel".
  • Download and extract the attached into C:\WinUAE.

Alpha One @ Flashtro has kindly trained Operation Firestorm

So please just do the following:
  • Delete the <gamedir> "C:\WinUAE\Games\Operation Firestorm".
  • Download and extract the attached into C:\WinUAE.

Decided to change the screenshot to something more exciting...

Just extract the attached into C:\WinUAE\Games\Test Drive II - The Duel

So, it looks that You spent a lot of time not only on doing/fixing this compilation, but also by verifying games by images. But You were familiar with Amiga Tosec roms in the 2007, right?

Yes of course; but working out 100% verified / tested sets from TOSEC is no easy task...

So I finally had a chance to try this
-after struggling to have a decent gaming experience in Winuae (nothing against the app or creator, just too many different configurations to cater for so there are a lot of options but better that than not enough control-
and I have to say that I am so grateful! I got to re-live some memories from my amiga days in a simple easy way that just worked, no messing around (except maybe having to delete some files as part of the install process - then I gave up on that and just dragged the folders over and overwrote the old versions - that aside, excellent collection..had a lot of fun with it..The only change I'd make would be to have the games in 4:3 instead of widescreen but I can see that some people wouldn't want black bars. Still this collection is as good as it gets for something that works "out of the box".
Thanks so much for this.

You're talking about the Update Packs... as you have the URLs for the "Base Install + Update Packs #1-10" incorporated; you only need to do the changes / modifications for Update Packs #11-18.

The instructions I've written aren't difficult to follow, and would only take you maximum 5-10 minutes to complete...

Thing is; I'm not about to re-upload 10.9GB of data everytime I release an Update Pack... this is not feasible.

There's really no other way to provide updates; besides how I've been doing it already.

The collection is not setup as widescreen; so you should have black bars on the sides

If you don't have black bars on the sides then you need to look at your graphics card / monitor settings.

The following is quoted from the 2nd post; where there's lots of useful information / help:

Looking forward to it, Damien. So much for not finding enough good games to make an update, eh? Two updates since that statement.

Started looking at some other games again and wanted to mention The Adventures of Willy Beamish should have 1MB chip RAM selected otherwise there is no music. It wasn't playing the music so I looked and saw it was set to 512K, so I bumped it up to 1MB and now the music plays.

Also, haven't figured this one out yet, but when you lose your last life on Space Ace it glitches out and stays on the death scene with noise and then the soundtrack playing- have to reset at that point. Also, at the start, after the intro there is a glitched screen that stays until you press the mouse button- is that supposed to be a trainer screen by chance? No worries on fixing this one though (assuming of course it's not just due to a bad crack), at least not for me- I was just taking a look and would actually rather play the version I bought for PC.

Was going to mention the Willy Beamish thing but I thought it had been fixed?

Oh wow, that was quick! I seriously didn't expect Floor 13 to be added, as it's not the most action packed game, but I really appreciate that it has been, thank you.
