Hi,
Welcome to the EAB Not much of an answer, I know, but friendly at least... ...personally I can't help with your question, but there's bound to be someone here who can. In the meantime do stick around - the EAB's a good place to be. |

Which is activated by holding the mouse buttons down when you boot the machine. The A2620 has a similar screen but with a third option to boot AMiga unIX, could that be what you remember? |

Hi
I mean the described option "Amiga UX" in the manual http://amiga.resource.cx/manual/A2630.pdf If set the jumper 304, should appear: 68000 68030 Amiga UX But the third option not appear. I can remember that i had to push some hotkeys... But which one??? PS:My Dad said, that at first appear the bootscreen with 68000 and 68030. And then you had to push some key combinations. But which one??? |

I think you also have to have an A2091 in there as well for that option to appear don't you? (Since that is what amiga unix booted off IIRC)

We didn´t ever had this card. The A2091 is only necessary if you wan´t to install "AMIX".
But this boot-possibility could we reach without this card. Our A2000 was never changed since years... |

The "Amiga UX" option was only in (very) old A2630 ROMs. I have never heard of a keypress or hotkey to bring it back. Perhaps a dump of the ROMs could be examined to see if it's still there and hidden. The real question is why? If you're not going to run Amix, then what does the third option add?

My Dad told me that appear a screen in a unix-like style.
