I tried Capital Punishment today and i just get a reboot after the code screen, that was with just 2mb chip ram. But if i try it with additional fast ram i don't get a reboot after the code screen it just stays black.
I also tried Slam Tilt which appears to work well on winuae but i haven't tried it on a real cd32 as i have no A4000 keyboard so i can't run any conclusive tests. Another thing regarding Slam Tilt is the patch which allows you to use a cd32 pad when playing but it doesn't allow control of the menu, the program joy2key does map cursor keys to the pad which would allow menu selection but you would still need the return key to confirm. EDIT: There is also a bugfix on aminet for Slam Tilt which is supposed to address in game hanging when not launching from workbench. Perhaps this could fix the crash on the cd32. |

The version of Slamtilt that i've send to you is already patched with the aminet patch....
Capital Punishment should have Setpatch QUIET in the startup to load the screen after the code screen but it needs 1.95Mb so i think it's quite impossible to have enough memory to run it on the CD32.......(successfully tested by me on a 4Mb CD32 in WinUAE) Flink CD32 version works well Arcade Pool too Superfrog without menu too Kingpin too Kid Chaos too........ EDIT: Perhaps a good programmer can edit the source of Joy2Key to replace the spacebar map to firebutton with the return key to firebutton.............and compile it of course Cya Last edited by Rochabian; 17 November 2005 at 23:40. |

Well Slam Tilt does use space bar for confirmation on the menu also so if Joy2Key supports space bar mapping then it should work. Assuming Joy2Key works with Slam Tilt and it doesn't interfere with the CD32 Pad Slam Tilt patch.
EDIT: I have added Superfrog without the menu already |

If you find the way to recompile joy2key please contact me, I wanna try this prog with a lot of game. I can try to contact the author via normal post (paper mail, because he not reply at e-mail address specified in the program's readme). I've contacted the author of walker's whd installer, codetapper, that have added some option in the whdload installer for this game like the possibility to start the game with joypad instead of keyboard (like up + fire instead of F5 to start the game in easy mode). But I haven't a reply. I think it's a good way to try. Also in other forum of eab is possible to find whd programmers.

@Lentivector:
Joy2Key can't be run with WHDLoad games, only with ripped disk....... The best we can hope for is that Bert Jahn do a WHDLoad CD32 version with support of the CD32 Pad with some tooltypes to change the assign of the CD32 Pad Buttons to the wanted keys........ For now, that's where we are about Joy2Key Last edited by Rochabian; 19 November 2005 at 02:36. |

I know well that joy2key can't be run with whdload games and however slam tilt is not a game of my interest. I just suggest you to contact a good whdload programmer because i think that's the easiest way to adapt amiga game to run on cd32 (I don't know who is Bert Jahn but if he can do the miracle with slam tilt he could do the same thing with advantage tennis and warm up, please consider this games in your compilation). But I also think that if you succeed to recompile joy2key you have an expanded game park to use with your compilation.

I saw some documents (part of CD32 developers CD I think?) that describe how to use another drive as NVRAM:, but not the other way... I wonder if you can just treat it like a normal drive/folder? |

It is just too small for anything useful unless it is purpose written
Most CD32 games will use codes instead of a save. For example Monkey Island on the Mega CD used codes. |

1. You distribute pirated WHDLoad keys. 2. You pretend that you encourage people to register WHDLoad yet you haven't even registered yourself. 3. You seem to think the WHDLoad guys will be happy to change lots of patches so your crappy pirated CD32 compilations will work without a keyboard. Your attitude so disgusts me that I'm considering ADDING code to each install that requires you to press a key, thus my work cannot be included on your CDs. 4. We only support registered users, send all your other complaints to >NIL: please... PS: I'm so glad Fuzzball crashes on your CD32 compilation, I wish I knew why that happened so I could make all installs do that. |
