CyberSphere Plus

This game is definitely OCS, ECS and AGA: http://hol.abime.net/6110

Personally I run with a WinUAE "AGA" config and both options work perfectly...

Many thanks to my friend DrBong for providing the full version .ADF from a CD compilation

PS: probably one for TOSEC guys to rename the file also; in fact I'm not sure if it's even include the latest DATs

That's not what I meant.
You first wrote that your friend found it on a CD, then that your uploaded ADF is of the original release. What kind of original release?

Ah ok, gotcha

In DrBong's archive there is a "readme.txt" file that says:

Code:
Cybersphere Plus

*** Taken from the "Cybersphere + Cybersphere Plus" compilation

So it might not be a dump from the original after all?

I don't know what your getting at

Read the "Notes" section of the CyberSphere Plus page on HOL: http://hol.abime.net/6110

Code:
Notes:
[1] Game written in 100% 68K assembly language. Game design by Clay Hellman; ideas contributed by Christopher Bailey, Shane Bro and Brent Moore. Coding, graphics & music/sound FX by Clay Hellman. Degrader utilities by Christopher Bailey and Roy Schneider.

[2] Min. Requirements: 1MB ram, mouse or joystick
Recommended: higher CPU or fastram (to display more animated or moving objects on screen without decreasing the frame rate), additional mouse/joystick for 2-player games

[3] The original release of CYBERSPHERE PLUS was sold by the developer/publisher via mail order only.
In 1997/98, CYBERSPHERE PLUS was also sold as part of an obscure compilation by small German PD company Nordlicht, which included its prequel CYBERSPHERE.

[4] Game supports PAL/NTSC screenmodes (runs slightly slower in PAL mode) and a quit back to WB option.

[5] CYBERSPHERE PLUS (demo) is available for download on Aminet HERE (dir: game/demo/CyberspherePlusDemo)
Min. Requirements (demo): 1MB ram, mouse

[6] CYBERSPHERE PLUS has been deemed freeware by main coder Clay Hellman and is available for download from these sources:

- CYBERSPHERE PLUS (full release) [Source: EAB FTP site]
- CYBERSPHERE PLUS (full release) [Source: EAB FTP mirror site]
So what if DrBong found the .ADF on a compilation CD? It's the full version (not the demo) and that's all that really matters

I'm afraid looks can deceive. Like Cybersphere the sequel is only OCS/ECS, with the AGA game icon just running a script to degrade the game for AGA machines. Someone else asked about this when I originally announced the release of this game.

http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=79333 (see post #5)

BTW the game was taken from an original release disk compilation (not a CD compilation, warez or otherwise). Cybersphere and Cybersphere Plus came on separate disks in the compilation. Judging from the date stamps of game files, there's nothing to suggest that they would differ in any way from the original standalone releases sold via mail order by the game author.

Yup, I knew this from the notes on HOL that I posted

Ignore / reverse my suggestions on HOL then

@DamienD
That last bit was for others who might have overlooked the HOL entry notes Anyway, nice to know someone reads 'em! Methinks I will add another note, though, about the game icons for Cybersphere and Cybersphere Plus.

Because there's a difference between a full version and an original version, especially to TOSEC.
