Thanks Rebel. Cammy gave me a pointer, but I didn't like it very much, and I don't like large ones. I was thinking that perhaps could be made a white one, but it seems it's imposible. Thanks anyway, and of course I will be using those navigations images.
Thanks!

This makes all the GUI images look nice since they were all designed for this palette and don't need to be remapped again.
Cammy I was wondering about that program you did

I haven't uploaded SpareDesk to Aminet yet because I still need more beta testing done. It works though, if you'd like to try it. I've been working on making sure it's totally compatible with Workbench patches like MagicMenu, VisualPrefs, Birdie, MultiCX, FBlit and other stuff. I don't think enough programmers care about how their programs appear on other people's modified systems, so I'd like to make sure this program works well for everyone before I upload it.

Jeje...Thanks Cammy. I'm definitely interested in trying it. I'm sure others will like to try it too.

There's a truckload of them in Aminet if you can't find the default ones.

Cammy there's a thing I don't understand: Why to use it with IBrowse. I have it automatically remapped:

Unfortunately, Cammy's and Rebel's palette is nowhere to be found That site is no more.
Could someone please upload the palette file (only) to The Zone ?

Just to tell my opinion: Rebel's palette is very nice, but it doesn't treat well the blue color (just in my humble opinion). I thought that when using Ken's icons. By then I asked PeterK about it and he made IMHO a better palette, the one I use in AKReal.

You can find it included in his icon.library in Aminet inside ThirdParty, FullPalette: http://aminet.net/package/util/libs/IconLib_46.4

The file has the FPprefs. If you later need to obtain the palette you can grab a SGrab image of the FPprefs palette image and save it as a palette for example for ImageStudio or also use it as a palette for the online PC program Retro Image Tool: http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...7&postcount=37

Edit: In this photo I've got remapped the wallpaper and the skin of AmigaAmp. I'm using here only 16 colors:

Edit: You can see what I say about the blue color in this photo of Mfilos:

I recently have found that PeterK's palette works a lot better, especially the latest version with the latest icon.library
You should grab it from the icon.library package: http://aminet.net/package/util/libs/IconLib_46.4

But I believe the last one with some changes isn't included in that package, he released a later one: http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...postcount=1646

That is the one I'm actually using in AKReal.

Cool. Thanks. Is it possible to get a copy of the original rebel palette too?

Could someone provide a quick step by step guide on how to convert a jpg saved from a PC to a 16 colour 1024x768 image, either with PPaint or ImageStudio, that works well with either rebel's palette or Peter k's one?

Search for an image already using 1024x768. If it's larger but you can resize it keeping the aspect ratio, I use Ultimate Paint for that: http://www.ultimatepaint.com/download.php

If it's larger and you have to cut it, then I use CorelDraw for that. For this image I've had to cut the sides.

Then using Retro Image Tool in the Pc follow the steps:

http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=76912&page=4

And you can get an image just like this I've just made, attached. This is a screenshot of the image using 16C, 1024x768.
I'm using as I've told the latest PeterK's FPPrefs.

And I wouldn't use an image with a lot of blues. Blue is a difficult color -it seems- for both palettes, but PeterK's is better for that.

Edit: I've attached now my 16 Color Palette to be used with PeterK's FPPrefs, so you don't have to create it, just add it. :

Retro Image Tool is pretty cool but it crashes pretty much every thirty seconds, both on chrome and Firefox.

Yeah, managed to get it working in chrome. I think my ancient PC is the issue, not the browsers or webpage.
