American Laser Games

American Laser Games arcade hardware (A500 mainboard+genlock+LD player+custom interface hardware+light gun(s)) and games are not in HOL. I think it should be included if Arcadia is also included.

For me is weird idea, really.

Difference between Arcadia and ALG is that Arcadia games you can play on real Amiga without any additional hardware (there are WHDLoad versions). Is possibility to play ALG products on real Amiga?

The arcade games are using real Amigas! Still Amiga games, just using Laserdisc, same for some MSX games, Mega LT games.

I agree if Arcadia and Cubo are on HOL, ALG should be too.

Sure, but games are not playable on real Amigas.

I can say "Still Laserdisc games, just using Amiga".

LD cannot be "removed" on real hardware, Amiga can with different hardware (e.g. PC).

For me is more entry for "Amiga Hardware Database" (and it is already) than for Amiga games database (as is HOL, i suppose).

Because games are playable on real hardware.

That aren't all playable on real hardware, lots of Cubo games are not. Anyway HOL documents all types of games that are Amiga based, not which Amiga games are only playable on a real Amiga.

I see "the database of amiga games" not "the database of amiga based games" on HOL main page.

Of course You can say "It's only semantics", but there are other projects (e.g. mentioned AHD) which are more suitable in this case.

Edit: About Cubo CD32 games - these are just protected to not working on normal Amiga/CD32 and it's main case, not hardware (like ALG).

Hard subject - but I think that those games should be added to HOL as new hardware entry.

There are many (real) Amiga games (mainly PD/shareware, but not only, e.g. Reshoot) which are not on HOL. So why adding games for some "hardware hybrid" not playable on real hardware?

For me is something like playing movie from LD via genlock and some control software, then saying "It's movie played from Amiga!"
