Mac Mini G4 1.5Ghz (Silent Upgrade) [ideal for running MorphOS]

Sold to guccismith!

I know, I'm advertising a Mac on an Amiga forum - bear with me.

This is the final iteration of the G4 Mac Mini. The specs:
  • 1.5 GHz PowerPC 7447a (G4) processor with the AltiVec "Velocity Engine" vector processing unit and a 512k on-chip level 2 cache
  • 1GB Ram
  • 80GB HDD
  • "Superdrive" DVD-RW/CD-RW
  • Radeon 9200 with 64MB VRAM
  • Onboard Wireless/Bluetooth

It will come with the original power pack (UK Plug), Software pack, and matching keyboard. Sadly the mouse died a long time ago, but you're better served with any 2 button USB mouse these days anyway. Note the monitor pictured isn't included! I've had this from new, believe it or not it was bought to help the development of a WebObjects application waaay back in time. Since then it's been a little music jukebox next to a mixing desk, and more recently, a way to take up space in my study. It has been opened for cleaning, and has a few wee marks on the outer edges, but nothing terrible given it's age (and the fact it was a 'working' machine).

Now the Amiga related part - it has MorphOS installed, as can be seen in the screenshots, and it runs really very well! However it is in the unregistered evaluation state - I leave it to the next owner to decide if they wish to do so.

Why am I selling? The reasons are twofold:
  1. I bought a MicroA1 and can now play with AmigaOS4 on that
  2. I've been given an old G4 iBook, so am more likely to register MorphOS there and have a portable Amiga-esque system

I'm looking for £120 £100 + Postage (via Paypal Gift preferably), happy to look into postage as and when people express interest. Also happy to answer any questions or take more pictures if requested.

Note: Also for sale elsewhere

Great little system. MorphOS runs fast on it plus has a small foot print on your desk.

Alas for you I already have one. Doubles as my Amiga development machine as it compiles quite fast. :-) But I really recommend it to other people to try out.

Hi Graham,

It's a done deal - just what I've been looking for! And even comes with MorphOS pre-installed so one less hurdle =)

I'll PM you and from there we can settle the rest.

Cheers,
Linus
