Great Port - Thanks novacoder!! It works flawless on my A4000 with MT32, but on my A600 and without MT32 I have only soundeffects and speech but no music. How can I fix this? Thanks

Cool glad you like it. MIDI music is the only option for this port unfortunately.

That link is for a CD with Sound editors and files plus the manual for the mt-32, you need the actual hardware to make any use of it.
Also, you won't find a mt-32 for that price, expect to pay a premium if you find one for sale!

Yep you really want to get one of these https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roland...#The_SC-55mkII

Either the Mrk1 or Mrk2 is good (I just brought a Mrk2 myself )

Another option is an MT-32 which is arguably better for some older games but for full general MIDI support the SC-55 is a better bet.

Read more about it here https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?t=35135

There is now some pretty good MIDI support for 68K games because you now have ScummVM, OpenDUNE, DosBOX and Exult all with MIDI support built in

The best thing about MIDI support is that it doesn't load up the CPU which is perfect for 68K.

No worries mate, hope you like it. The newest aminet RTG version let's you skip the security questions when running in enhanced mode.

It's a very solid port even if I do say so myself using the most advanced 68K SDL implementation to date and even has MIDI support

I've now used some of the Amiga version's enhancements in my raspberry pi port!

You did change the OpenDune config file didn't you to enable it??

I think CAMD comes with a simple MIDI test program, try running that...if you don't hear anything then it isn't setup properly.

You might also have to play with the CAMD prefs a bit too.

Also, you have to make some change in your WinUAE setup to make it use your real sound card as a MIDI playback device, sorry I can't remember how I did it.

DOTT AGA is very old, you shouldn't use it

That was my first Amiga port and very flaky

It requires the DOOM sound library to play back music and also the MIDI instruments to be installed.

My ScummVM ports are a much better way to play DOTT on an Amiga.

Maybe have a play with the OpenDune config, look at the frame count setting.

It works okay for me though

Is a 68040+ mandatory or will a 68030 do?
(I guess I should give it a try)

I tried the game on my A1200 060@66, Z-II busboard and SCSI HDD and the game was veeeeery slow for me. I can't imagine it's playable on an 030 :P

Did you try the latest version? Shouldn't be slow on a real Amiga @ 66 Mhz
