Yeah, good luck with that argument. The only ones who have spoken favorably about open source AmigaOS is Cloanto.

And yet I didn't have to, did I? The Amiga was working for a good couple of years before I discovered MWB.

I mean, I installed 3.1 to the HDD, and I marvelled at the boot time. I installed AMOSPro, and it worked. So did Amiga E. And I could install games to the HDD and they worked too! Or just insert a disk and reboot! They all worked!

Can you imagine? No patches and the thing did what it was supposed to.

I'm really sorry, but I genuinely wasn't aware that it was broken beyond usability. Had I known, I really would have applied fixes.

Yeah, I too used my A500's for 4 years between 88 and 92 without any patches. Worked great!

They should have called it AmigaOS 3.4.1 then there would not have been any issues at all.

Now that's a very fancy disk label. You can tell the seller really worked hard on the design!

I haven't had a chance to read all 19 pages of this thread but did you guys see this on Hyperion's website?

Shipping to Amiga dealers started!
Pure digital sales of AmigaOS 3.1.4 closed. Please place your order for AmigaOS 3.1.4 at your local Amiga dealer. See our list of dealers for possible resellers.

Hi acidbottle,

I suppose the only way to get the digital version will be to buy the physical edition. I think the download will be activated for you if you register with your serial number from the physical edition on the Hyperion website. That's how the download of the previous digital-only edition went last month.

Today I got at least an e-mail that the status of my order has changed to "shipped". So I hope to be able to answer your question with 100% certainty soon.

greetings
krautguy
