SMUS Files in DeliPlayer Do Not Play
Hello, everyone. This is my first post here, so I apologize if I do/say anything wrong.
I have been using DeliPlayer for PC, but no matter which version I've tried to download, I can't seem to get SMUS. files to play. I went to the Eagle Players site and downloaded the Sonix music driver, but it still wouldn't work. I want to listen to the Amiga music for Rocket Ranger, and this is what I get when I try to open one of the files: 'H:\My Music\Game Rip\AMIGAMUSIC\Rocket Ranger\smus.SxAE' was identified as 'Play680x0' but is invalid. Please help me. There has got to be some way to listen to Sonix music on PC. Thanks! |

...more than likely a player(s) conflict.
Delete all players, except smus player, and try again. |

Sorry for not replying sooner, just saw your reply.
I will try that and I'll edit this post later today to let you know how it works (not at my computer right now.) Just so I'm clear though, the player is called Sonix Music Driver, correct? Last edited by Doommaster1994; 21 May 2012 at 17:25. Reason: Update |

Yup, I got those files in the Rocket Ranger folder. I only downloaded the files from Exotica so if there's any extra files, then I'm missing them. For the Sonix Music Driver, I downloaded that from the Eagle Players site, put the Sonix Music Driver file in the Amiga Players directory. I did that for MC formats and that format now works so I'm pretty sure it's in the right directory. In the Eagle Players site, the zip/rar I downloaded, there were other files and I'm not sure where they would go in the Deliplayer directory. If you need a link I can post it.
Also, on another note, I also have an iPhone app (modizer) that plays most but not all of the songs. Not sure why that is though. I also tried other SMUS files from other games on Deliplayer to make sure the files weren't corrupted and re-downloaded the Rocket Ranger music but I still got the same error. so, have you tried to move temporarily all other players outside your player directory? or try my players directory, which i have put in the zone. |

I tried both methods, deleting all but the Sonix Music Driver and adding your folder to the directory and I still get the same exact error.
EDIT: I deleted all the players, then used your zip file and extracted them, and now it works. Thanks so much! |

Comparing your Players folder with mine, what was the fault then?

I wish I knew myself. Also, Deliplayer also plays the songs that modizer won't play so that's cool. It was also tedious, but I was able to get the .SMUS files playing in Sonix.

Sorry to bump in an old thread but I have a similar problem with Cannon Fodder (the original). rjp.WARX4 and rjp.JON play well, but the rest (rjp.ICEBASE, rjp.INTBASE, rjp.JUNBASE and rjp.MORBASE) do not play at all, they are either stalling the player or skip to the next song. I tried the suggestion above with removing all the Amiga players besides "Richard Joseph Player", but it does not work. Any suggestions?

Looks good for me.
Put music and player in the zone for additional checks! Read the FAQ, how to get access to the zone. |
