I have tried v1.2 of this program and yes, Minuous, it has a bug in it. Try to convert a file to a html file and have a closer look at that html index window. I did that with gullivers BetterWB and the result was a html file with numbers and no text in the main index window (to view it in Amiga Forever's Player).

Got some mini-time to look through some reported bugs along with some other stuff done for todays v1.3 of AGWViewer.
Check it out, if it works better now? http://www.stone-oakvalley-studios.c...28112014001110 |

Thanks StoneOakvalley.
A neat little tool for a quick look into guides without starting an emulator. |

Thanks, this new version is quite good...
I have found two bugs though: the major one is that the Index function is giving this kind of output: CreditsAndLicence: Over Overview History: Over Overview HowToPlay: Over Overview OtherReleases: Over Overview Overview: Over Overview Requirements: Over Overview (etc.) The node named "Over" (title of it is "Overview") is the first one in the file (except for "main"); its name and title seem to be getting used for each node. Also a very minor bug, there is a capital W in the text which is being changed for some reason to a lower-case w...I can send you or attach the original guide that causes these issues if you like. Hi minuous,
Yes, let me see that guide that transformes into w. I notice too the "double" title instance, actually not on all guides, even seen in v1.2. Have to fix that one too, looks stupid now. |

OK, file is attached. The word "Website:" in the "Credits and Licence" section is being shown as "website:".
Re. linking external pictures, the official docs say: "If you are running AmigaOS 3.0 or above, you can jump to any file that is supported by Datatypes - pictures, animation, anything. You must still give a "node" name, even though the file is not an Amigaguide file and has no "nodes" - so just use "main": "picture.iff/main"." So something like @{"Foo" link "bar.gif/main"} would make a button called "foo" which would, when clicked, open a new instance of MultiView to show the picture "bar.gif". In Windows, this would probably be best handled by eg. ShellExecute(0, NULL, "bar.gif", NULL, NULL, SW_SHOW); Last edited by Minuous; 01 December 2014 at 20:16. |

Hi minuous,
See if the v1.31 fixes did the job. Have not decided yet if I'm gonna look into external linking, pictures and other files. I know it don't support loading other .guides if they were linked up yet. http://www.stone-oakvalley-studios.c...02122014212335 |

Many thanks for this excellent AGWViewer, StoneOakvalley
May I ask you for two additional features? 1.) I would be very happy if I could change the background color from gray more to white in order to get a better contrast and easier readability. 2.) It should be possible to change the destination drawer for the generated HTML output files, for example setting it to %TEMP%\AGWViewer. |

Hi PeterK,
1: Yes, you can tweak this by editing the new guide.css in the installed program folder to whatever background you want. The BODY Background tag. 2: This could be a nice option indeed and easy to implement. I'll make it as a option, checkmark, and saved into the INI preferences file (in case others people like it to appear in the installed program folder (like me). Quote:
