I have two different makes of these and both work. The problem I found is getting a CF card to work with them. I have a Sandisk Extreme III (possible clone), Sandisk Ultra and a non branded CF card. The only one that works is the Ultra.

How about PCMCIA SD Reader

How about one of these SD card readers, seems more convenient as I have SD cards coming out of my ears, and an SD reader on everything else at home, especially handy on the 13" Macbook Air.

No, the A1200/A600 PCMCIA slot is incompatible with PCMCIA CardBus PC Card devices. They will not even fit in the slot.

I have one of these PCMCIA SD-card readers and they work fine in an Amiga, but unfortunately the site is sold out of them now.

It seems everywhere in the world is sold out of those awesome 5-in-1 adapters now. I bought a couple for a dollar each a few years ago on eBay and have been using them to read SD cards on my A1200s and A600s for years. If anyone ever finds a cheap bulk supply of them please let us know so some of us can stock up on spares for our Amiga friends.

Maybe someone can suggest to amigakit to supply them, here's some guy selling them in lots of 100+

I've got an idea, how about we get everyone on here to low-ball this guy (he's taking offers), closer to something like $7-8 which is what they're really worth;

I've made more realistic offers to that guy in the past and they were rejected unfortunately.

One other bad thing about trying to get these 5-in-1 card readers so late is all of the shops (around here at least) have stopped selling 2GB SD cards now, even in 2-packs. And since these card readers don't support larger SDHC cards whoever was going to bulk-sell them to Amiga people would also want to get a good supply of cheap 2GB cards to send with them if need be. Of course it's even worse with CF adapters since those went out of the shops even before SD cards did, but at least the PCMCIA adapters for them are cheap and easy to find and support cards larger than 2GB.

This looks like it would be useful also in combination with the PCMCIA CF Adapter;

Arnie, apart from the label they look identical to the ones I use, so there's a good chance you found a winner there.

Oh, yeah I have read about someone using one of those MicroSD to CF adapters in a PCMCIA CF adapter in their Amiga. I'm not sure if they're any slower but they definitely seem to work.
