Mounting AT to ATX converter board
Hi all,
I have an Amiga Technologies A4000T that I recently swapped out the AT power supply for a new ATX one. I am using the ATX to AT power converter from Amigastore.eu. I was able to find a momentary contact switch that will fit were the old switch was and sort of figured out a way to mount it. The question I have is what to do with the converter board. I currently have the underside of the board covered with black electrical tape and have twist tied it onto the 20 pin power cable. I want to permanently mount the board to the case using some screws through the holes provided, but I am not sure what to mount it to that is not metal (or I will have to cover the back of the PCB). I don't really want to drill into the side of the case, and the P8 & P9 power cables are not long enough to reach over the power supply to mount to the back above the PSU. I am looking for some suggestions about how to mount something to the inside of the case that I can screw the board to. I do not have any welding equipment, nor would I know what I was doing. Any suggestions? I am taking a trip to Home Depot to see what I can find there. Thanks, Rick |

So, I was successful in mounting this thing. I used JB Quick Weld (epoxy/steel resin) and secured three standoffs to the non-removable side of the case. It is holding it very securely and the adapter is secured into the standoffs.
