A few more : Gothika, Mister Babadook (that brat has a knack for pushing the boundaries a bit further each time, no wonder his mother neurotic condition worsens), Valentine
Mentioned Scream movies, I'd watch Scream II if I had to choose among them, the others are meh.

I can't support that statement. May I direct you to this other thread where I make a fine listing of absolute movie diarrhoea, Ghost Ship is poetry by comparison.

That's some Alanis Morissette levels of irony!

April Fool's Day (1986) liked that one too, a few clever twists. Some sleaze too, so keep the young children away.

It's not a horror movie per se, I'll give you that. Maybe give it another chance ? I changed my mind about a few movies which got me disappointed upon the first watch e.q. Sleepy Hollow. Something I liked about Ghost Ship : During the ship exploration, each character had his moment of doubt and was exposed to something mildly intriguing apart from the others.

Bloodshot.

How to kill a movie in one decision: Take a Vin Diesel "I'm not saying it's a Terminator, but it's Terminator" movie and turn it into a PG-13 Vin Diesel "punches everyone" movie. Whoooot, it ends up being really boring!? What a shocker!

I sort of appreciate how the writers attempted to throw a little mystery in there but you can see the plot twists coming a light year away...

4/10

LOL,

checked my post from half year ago, and I gave it whole 5 out of 10. I do think that your grade or even -1 should be more correct. Special effects were misused in this movie and whole experience is more like TV movie than big screen show.

Don't get me wrong, some TV movies are just fine, but this... no, this is not fine.
