High density VGA > RGB
Hi peeps,
I'm going to have a go at making a cable from my CD32 floppy drive thingy which has a High density VGA connector to my Philips CM8833 Mk2 RGB (9-pin connector). Now, as far as connections go for soldering and what not is it just a matter of connecting the relevant pins from the VGA to the 9-pin RGB connector??? i.e. red, blue sync etc or is there more to it than that? is it even possible?! Thanks in advance. |

and here it is...
http://www.technick.net/public/code/...vm_amiga_scart you only need to use the horizontal sync from the vga (15pin) as composite sync for the RGB cable. http://www.technick.net/public/code/...nvid_vga_15pin there that should get you in the right direction my friend |

I personally think they screwed up the schematics and had planned to use regular VGA connectors. If they did then the pinout will be the same as the standard VGA output (listed by Zetro) but the connector a different shape. However if they meant to use a regular 15-pin D then the pinout may be custom. Last edited by alexh; 30 December 2007 at 00:47. |

Here is a picture of a cable for that device
http://static.cd32-allianz.de/images...llStreet10.jpg The cable is sold for £15 from Analogic. As I said, if they meant to use this connector, I speculate they may have used the pinout of the early Apple colour MACs (the only thing I could find that used this connector for video) that would have allowed them to use old Apple MAC monitors. http://pinouts.ru/Video/maclcvideo_pinout.shtml This is the pinout of the CM8833 MKII (and 1084D) http://pinouts.ru/Video/C1084dd_pinout.shtml Last edited by alexh; 30 December 2007 at 00:51. |
