This Turrican 2 thing was discussed at Lemon, and someone pointed out that those bees aren't limitless, IIRC...
How about an experiment then? You guys let people hog in such easy scoring places and see what'll happen? No, I'm seriuos - I think that sooner or later EVERYONE will get tired of it. Eventually, will get very high scores, but since everyone will be able to build one, they could be very similar and beatable! What you say? EXPERIMENT! |

My choices for round two consist of simpler PD games, which are also good fun..
1. Croak 2. Loderunner 3. Deluxe Galaga 4. Pipeline 5. Super Twintris Not sure about Galaga really, as there are many versions and options to disable features (eg money grabber) |

- There is a timer, and a rather strict one at that. I couldn't find a disable feature and the manual doesnt mention it. Surely even if there was one you would just leave it enabled anyway. Whats the difference here as opposed to say.. starting with more lives in apidya - The bees only keep coming out of the hive's for so long - and in fact not long at all. Even if they were constant, (which they're not), you would fast run out of time and die.. you wont get any decent high scores this way either. neway.. just an opinion |

@VermillioN and turrican3 (and everyone else for that matter):
Okay then, tell you what, I'll ban it for this round (as I don't want to change my mind yet again as it would probably influence the voting) and I'll have a look at the game another time. And I'll decide whether I think it's suitable in time for the third round vote. How does that sound? |

I think you can ban no game but make rules about game who win and be confidence that's all that you can do.
Because anyone could cheat to anygame. Sorry about this situation but i think this is true. This is just my opinion. Hard day for the league what i want say, that's if i want tomorrow, i'll give 100,000,000,000 to slamtilt with using cheats and this game wasn't banned? make rules bann the bees and that's all. If not i could ask the bann of so many games because there is different version with cheats menu perhaps we could ask to toni to make a special winuae version for certified highscores like mame had, this is wolfmame.(i don't know if this is possible) Last edited by turrican3; 28 May 2007 at 17:29. |

Me votes for a voting thread to settle this once and for all
In my book, using this bees trick in Turrican2 or flying all the time in the 1st level of Battle Squadron is NOT cheating... Come on, really, I'd like to know what are you guys afraid of? I mean not to be offensive, just really want to say that using such tips&tricks is not cheating at all... Everyone will eventually just get bored of multi-multi-multi-score-hogging, don't see ANY the danger behind that, besides seeing some nice high scores PS: OK, there's this Agony score trick when the score-meter eventually get's frozen at 999999 (or something like that) but that's a different story... is it? |

Cheers VermillioN for editing your vote.
I must admit, this whole thing has got me thoroughly confused (not that it takes much); I thought initially the situation was that the bees appeared indefinitely and there was no time limit (and it was banned on Lemon of course)... but people seem to be saying different things on the subject, so that's why I reached a compromise for this round, and when I get the time I'll look at the game properly and then come to a conclusion from there. Also I don't want to be changing my mind too often, as people may go around forever changing their votes etc, so I feel this is the best solution for the time being. Hope all that makes sense! Thank you. And sorry. (Becoming my favourite phrase that one.) |

Well your vote doesn't count unless you vote for five...
