It's a feature of WinUAE and it works very well (except of course for those demos that require setpatch to be run first )

Yup these need to be put on a HDF, so they can be used in Gamebase. When the 'normal' demos are done I'll have a look at Belgaraths script to enable HDF support for Demobase aswell |

Efter Plugget by Draco (my old group ) should work just fine, at least with Kickstart 1.3 (it does however require an additional of at least 512 kb of Slow RAM). If the problem is the Guru Meditation about "Not enough memory" at the very beginning, it's a programmer's gag and part of the demo. Just click on the left mouse button instead of resetting the computer, and it should start shortly. Not sure about newer configurations than 1.3 though, but now you know the trick at least, if you want to experiment with those.

BTW, I've uploaded a 100% disk 2 of "Artifice" to the zone. I must have created this from the rare (!) LHA archive which TRSI sent out after they found out that these BBS weirdos repacked their DMS disk from HEAVY1 (OK) algorithm to HEAVY2, which broke everything! Note this working disk is not even on Kestra yet! :P |

Just sit comfortably, I had got the very same crash: yes even with both the old DMS *and* ADF version! - so we're already two! Moreover, I do not remember to have seen that 100% working disk recently uploaded. If so, it must have been before the Demobase project. This disk was indeed created from the sources on trsi.org, but with high accuracy because I feared to break something again. Note these disks were in .ZOM (Zoom) format, which is and was a rather unusual format on the Amiga. Last edited by andreas; 15 December 2008 at 00:49. |

Nice to see you're participating a little more here now, zeg!
(@all Most of the past work was done behind curtains. I caught up zeg on IRC and reported him what we could need, and 1-7 days later, everything was settled ) |
