[SOLVED] Screen issue with DevPac debugger on a 4000

Hello,

either I posted on the wrong subforum of nobody down there have an idea, I'm trying here too, maybe better luck:
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=60998

Basically when I launch MonAm (the debugger of DevPac 3.18) the screen switches to another screen mode (maybe some interlaced one) and after a short while the machine gurues (8000 0004).
Machine is A4000/040 with 16+2 ram, CF, arxon scandoubler connected to a VGA CRT monitor.

I don't understand if this a software or a hardware problem.
I've been suggested to try ModePro, will do. I'll try to connect the video to a TV too. But I don't have a Commodore monitor.

Thanks.

EDIT: everything solved, just had to use latest version of DevPac, earlier versions have issues with 040 cache.
