Day 1

Quote:
Last month we featured a very special looking game that had both Alien Breed and Chaos Engine inspirations. And that game was 'Tower 57' developed by Benitosub and artist Cyangmou.

Very nice graphics but I think it's more like some game from arcades, not Amiga Chaos Engine or Alien Breed

Not sure, the coins dropping after an item being destroyed smacks of Chaos Engine

Awesome retro looking artwork and the cross platform online coop mode is a nice feature.

Looks very nice, but now it's hard to say will it play like Alien Breed or Chaos Engine. Those are just some animated gifts, not much to tell how will monsters work or what will be gameplay like.

Bruce Lee II - An all time favourite gets an impressive C64 sequel

Quote:
Hot off the press and just announced, 'Bruce Lee II' converted by Jonas Hulten is the very latest C64 title to appear that is set to wow the retro gaming crowd. Bruce Lee II by Jonas Hulten is a true C64 port of Bruno R Marcos's successor Bruce Lee II which appeared on the PC in 2013 and featured both an Amstrad CPC mode and a C64 mode which gave it that retro look.

Because you're just about to go to bed, all blurry eyed and boom this hits the news stand. Bed or write it up, guess what I did?

Great PC port. Still tricky in some places, but it has a "Easy Mode" which makes it indeed easier. Completed it a few hours ago.

Sam's Journey - Jaw dropping C64 platformer

Quote:
Last month on the 1st of April we gave you the big heads up about a brilliant looking smoothly animated C64 game in development titled 'Sam's Journey'. Developed by Knights of Bytes, which is about a cute little hero called Sam, this latest gif update shows off some of the new climbing technique used in the game such as grabbing structures and climbing vines.

The animated GIF looks awesome. Hopefully a decent scrolling platformer in Giana Sisters style, gameplay-wise.

Scrolling looks super smooth and it looks very polished. The game play and graphics feel on par with NES type of games.
Looking forward to play it.
