Whales Voyage AGA ?
http://hol.abime.net/5358
I think an AGA version of this game dont exist. The standard version works on A500, but the " Super Enhanced" dont work. You need an Amiga with 1,5 Mb Ram. See this: Last edited by mai; 05 February 2009 at 14:36. |

I have the original here and the disks are labeled "Whale's Voyage Amiga 1200-4000". Which makes me believe that an AGA version of this very game exists. |

Yep, the Amiga Joker reviewed Whale's Voyage AGA two month after the OCS/ECS version.
http://amigareviews.classicgaming.ga...m/whalesvo.htm @Stingray: Could you post the AGA disk images? I assume Jotd is still working on a WHDLoad patch. |

It´s MIA, but you can find a boxshot here: http://hol.abime.net/5358/boxscan.
So, I´m sure it was released. |

Not that I want to burst your bobble viddi, indeed the box looks genuine, but the "SUPER ENHANCED AMIGA 1200" sticker could be done by anyone.

Ah, well, you know, just referring to some silly discussions from "here and there" about "my amiga has a sticker and thus it is the only real amiga, and your amiga doesn't and so it's a fake piece of shit.."

There are cr versions of this game. The cr-intro means it is AGA, but really its not.
Game works on a500, A600(1,5Mb) too. |

The AGA version has only a few additional ingame screens (AJ review), that could be the difference to the OCS/ECS version.

Maybe, this wasn't unusual in the early Amiga 1200 era. But Stingray should know more about it.

A game, which works on A500/A600 is not an AGA-game!

Just checked the manual. They have done some A1200 improvements, but didn't specified which.

Of course you aren't. Games can check the machine/chipset and dis-/enable features depending on the configuration. So that a game works on a non-AGA machine doesn't necessarily mean that it doesn't have AGA only features!

Not yet, might have a look at the gamecode tomorrow at work. In the manual it's written that the game automatically enables the advanced features and that you have the possibility to switch between music/soundeffects in the 3d parts.
