Ah....it's a 1000, right? Yeah, overlooked that little detail. My bad...

On another note, I really wish Jens would get some more C64 Reloadeds in stock, and very eager for his Amiga Reloaded too.

Jens, I've read sometime ago that a PSU replacement for desktop amigas was on the works. Is it still?

There may not be any more C64 Reloaded produced. Quote from the mail for the previous wave:

We will notify you a few hours before the next (and probably last) wave is available in our store.
I was lucky enough to get a board during the last wave.

Hi Jens,

Happy new year

I just wanted to enquire as to how far along the ACA2000 is?
I currently have an ancient gvp 040 that is starting to play up, and would love to replace it with an ACA2000 + ACA12xx

Many thanks, and thanks for keeping on doing such a stirling job for the community

Hi:

The tittle of the thread is "New products for C64 and Amiga from Individual Computers."

As we're starting the year I would like to know what projects are in the works.

I have put a Kryoflux into an external case along with a 5 1/4" and a 3½" drive. There is also the SuperCardPro so I don't know what a USB Catweasel would add to the market?

first you don't need to build a catweasel into your computer. just plug it.
and second you don't need to buy a floppy drive, as it would be integrated.
there are pcs out there, like mine, which don't have any floppy drive at all...
what is kryoflux? can access amiga formatted floppies on pc like catweasel?
and does it have sid chip for c64 music like catweasel?

Kryoflux reads and writes floppies on a low level like Catweasel and SuperCard Pro, so it can read and write Amiga disks (and most other formats), even copy protected ones.

It does not have SID or joy port option though.

C64 Reloaded: There will be new boards, as announced last year when the Commodore license was signed. The MK2 version is one of the first things I have on the agenda when all back orders for the ACA500plus are served.

ACA2000: This will be a cut-down unit compared to the ACA500plus without a 68ec000 CPU. It will *require* an A1200 accelerator to work (although I may be able to make it work with the internal 68000 CPU).

Catweasel: I get frequent requests, and therefore this is one of the first projects that I have planned for one of the two new developers I have hired (both will start on march 1st, 2017). Rest assured that it *will* add to the market, as there's a number of things that neither Kryoflux, nor SuperCard Pro address. Both Kryoflux and SuperCard Pro are nice examples of "me-too-business" compared to actual development from scratch with a clear target in mind. Catweasel has set the bar, and those two copies are barely jumping it. It's time to raise the bar again.

Do you have any plans to design a video chip that provides RGB output? Then I could add the C64 Reloaded to my SCART switch which feeds into an OSSC which doesn't support S-Video signals.

Jens I would like to know your opinion about using FPGA. Have you got any project on mind using it?

Or just tell a bit about the subject and your feelings.

Edit: If you want to make something cheap and sell it for hundreds (units) just make a new cheap C64 Psu, let's say 60€.

Videocomp is just quite for a C64, and works very well both on CRT PAL or LCD/LED screens, imho.

There is the Turbo Chameleon already - that will give you RGB output.

I would love to see another C64 PSU option. Especially something smaller and more compact.

Yes, I imagine some small box with DIN plug on a short cable and a 12V DC input to use the same supply as used with C64 Reloaded. That way, you can avoid all the expensive approvals that you need if you were messing directly with mains voltage.
