WANTED: PCI Sound Card VORTEX2 SuperQuard / SQ2500 or Turtlebeach SantaCruz pci card
Anyone has this card for sale? this has the aureal chipset...
need it to add it to my pc along with a YAMAHA DB60XG midi daughterboard... |

Not for selling but, a small comment:
I've have been been running a Aureal votex 2 for a while, and unless you've got some special reason for grabbing it (daughterboard I'm guessing), the drivers are horrible and havn't had any updates since around 1999 when Aureal went out of business. |

I poked around, some comments about running the db60xg. Probably more in the forum.

Better late than never!Would you believe we are neighbours?10 years later keropi doesnt need the vortex 2 any more therefore will continue sitting nicely in a tyan dual slot A barton 3000mp along a voodoo 5500.Not as vintage as my amigas but worth to live for the future!

Just out of curiosity, what is the draw of the Aureal Vortex? I think I still have one sitting in a pile somewhere, I remember it being somewhat unreliable.
