Music does not work

"it.mo" has different structure of edgar.mo

I copied "edgar.mo" from version PC Windows and it works

path : Edgar\locale\it\LC_MESSAGES\edgar.mo

Hey AMIGASYSTEM I have one question to ask you. When I was playing the game and was feeding the chicken the screen keeps scrolling by itself to the left side (a bug) and I am trying to move to the left side of the screen in hope I push the camera back but it just keeps moving to the left and objects on the floor falls off and then the game quits by itself back to the desktop. Did you face this problem?

I just restarted the game and it did work afterwards. I cannot explain this "feature" :/

#1) sound has issues with ogg files. I renamed some of the *.wav files to its basename w/o extension, and it did work:
copy sound/common/click.wav sound/common/click

I think this was the click-sound in the main menu.
doing this with all files, causes some ixemul error :/

so something is wrong with my libOGG/libVorbis* or something :/

Report to the game...

It starts off at 26 fps then as the game starts it slows down and down and eventually it slows down to 10.61 fps.

Another thing it keeps doing the bug in the camera until it moves all the way to the left i just see the blue sky and it keeps going to the left until end of time. It starts every time when you start a new game. Is there a bug in this game? Does anyone else face this problem?

did you test edgar and edgar_ammx? does it happen with both versions?

as I wrote above, it did happen here too, but I did quit the game, after a restart it did work.
most the time it does work, as seen in the video by AmigaSystem.

The problem it happened the second time I start the game from scratch but no I didn't try the new edgar and edgar_ammx you released. Today I will try it out and see what happens.

hmm, I dont know what may causing this.
you may delete the "config" file, but I cannot see any related settings,
which may trigger that bug, window size or such things are not listed there.

I love you!! It works beautifully now!! It's speed is huge now...it's performance the same since the beginning of the title and it doesn't do the scroll error now and it is smoooth sailing....excuse me....-closes door- I am going to enjoy playing my game.

Converting the music ogg to wav could be possible? Wav would not cause too much slowdown compared to playing ogg.

yes, seems possible. you may try to convert for example music/Battle.ogg
to wav and rename the resulting wav to Battle.ogg.

same i did with some samples in sfx folder. some do work, but when
i replaced the whole ogg files ( no extension) with the wav files, I got some
ixemul errors (mem allocation thing IIRC)

to test the existing libogg i'm using, i did try to build ogg123 (vorbis tools / ogg player) but this failed.
so I cannot say if the libogg i'm using does really work in all circumstances.

If I go back to Frodo. I have seen the docs (installation.html) mentioned ADE (for compiling on Amiga). Just downloaded from Aminet, installed. Remaned sysconfig.h.amiga to sysconfig.h. But when compiling got this errors:

any progress with sound for edgar?

For multi language you must run with the command:

edgar -language Xx (example for french: "edgar -language Fr" and have the file locale\fr\LC_MESSAGES\edgar.mo)

Why on earth does this game support AMMX? It looks like it should run in one frame on an A500. Very basic graphics.
