Anywhere from 3 to 10 users 24/7 at mirror, for as long as I can remember

emufan has kindly put the file in The Zone! for you.

Click here to gain access to The Zone!: How do I get access to the zone?

After you've followed the process then look at the menus at the top of EAB; second from the right is "The Zone!" and this is where you will find the files for download

Can't access the Zone! got this message
vBulletin Message ftscp, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
and don't know how to bypass this.

you must join the zone group, as described above. use the link to the zone description.
click on "Group Memberships" this should jump to your group list.
here you should find "The Zone" group listed, which you can join.

you can see, if you already joined, when you look at your user page.
next to Friends/Visitors, there will be a new section with groups: should list Zone

once joined you find the link to the zone, next to the "Logout" link top right.
a list with files will be listed, top most should me the 2 dsm links.

@DamienD: is his account already activated, any resttriction on server side?

Can anyone take a look at why keep seeing "530: Maximum connections from this IP have been reached ?

I have never been on FTP for ages, and i still get this... How long do sessions last for ? I am using latest Filezilla version 3.24.0

I can connect fine, so no problem there. and see directory listing, but when i start to transfer i get this error after i re-enter password, and its a loop

Maybe because you have more than two connections to the server? Do not use standard username and password, use your own username and the password you used when you created the upload folder for the main server, the mirror use still as i know standard username and password.

I've just tried mirror and that's ok.... definitely 1 connection. transferred from mirror fine.

Its not connecting that the issue, its transferring, so if username/password on main ftp wasn't correct, i would get connection error, but in this case i do conect and see directory listing.

I forgot my password anyway as it's been too long since i used.... so i'll use mirror instead.

Will need a bit more information. You say "but in this case i do conect and see directory listing." and also "530: Maximum connections from this IP have been reached".

Only one of those should be happening, so when do you get the 530 error?

Could very well be your FTP client. Some are configured to connect twice or more. If that is so, you'll get the 530 error when it tries to connect a second time which isn't allowed.

I've dropped some Fred Fish cds into my upload folder.

These were obtained from BTTR before it vanished.

I've also upload a few Amiga Shopper discs that are missing from the server.

Would somebody be so kind as to move them to the relevant sections.

Thanks

I traced it down to Filezilla, as transferring via any other FTP client works no including transfers..

So, the issue is Filezilla connects fine on main ftp : grandis.nu, and i see directory listing of remote, however when it comes to transferring, i get the : 530: Maximum connections per ip have been reached (1).

this only applies to main ftp ... as connecting to mirror in Filezilla works ok. as well as any other ftp client

in Filezilla: open the SiteManager, highlight the grandis entry and change in Transfer Settings tab,
Number of simultaneous connections to 1.
not really tested, but this could do the trick.
somehow filezilla opens a connections for directory listing and one (or more ?!) for the transfer, if max # of connections is bigger than 1.

Just a heads up that I will not have access to the FTP servers until the start of March, so if something were to happen until then, use the mirror =)

Also ordered a faster line for it, so we should see better speeds in March.
