Go watch Sourcecode, it is one of the best films I have ever seen.
The Fighter is great too and the film has 2 lead actors due to Bales great performance.

Hall Pass is ok, the first 35 minutes or so is so-so, it gets quite funny late in the movie.

Jason Sudeikis..... not nearly as funny as the producers behind the movie seem to think he is.

Saw Tron Legacy. Its certainly very entertaining and the Daft Punk music is quite fitting. But of course zero originality when it comes to the story, there was only one possible choice of plot line really that has been chewed out in at least 3 movies every year... The ending you can see coming the moment the guy has had his first adventures in the Tron world.

Some solid advancements in digitizing facial animations here, to make someone far younger than they really are. It still looks robotic yet at the same time it looks quite awesome. Give it a few more years and every senior actor can be playing youthful roles again.

Unstoppable was alright for disposable entertainment, but Tony Scotts useless panning down the train with the camera to make the impression the train is going quicker is never convincing.

"Wow that train must be hitting speeds of.... 30mph!... Scary times!!"

Just watched the press release of "Thor" a few day ago...
Sadly, it's much too obvious that they did a comic novel adaptation, nothing more nothing less. It wouldn't hurt if they've made more use of the actual Nordic mythology, rather than the botchy one from the comic. Also, the story doesn't leave a mark. It still is a good looking (and sounding) movie, but I still don't get why Kenneth Branagh had to do it . In short:

Thor who is the son of Odin and the aspirant for the throne is getting deprived of his powers and banished from Asgard for disobeying his father's rules. He is forced to live as a normal human amongst all the others on earth, learns the meaning of loss, vulnerability and such things and finally starts changing his mind when it comes to defend the poor and weak humanity from his (half)brothers cattiness.

Really nothing to get crazy about, but if you like fine production design and lots of CGI, this still might be interesting for you.

I've watched the the promo video. It was somewhat entertaining, but I'm not going to see the movie. I think everything that was to be seen was already in that clip. What will I miss? Probably more action and CGI.

I don't need to see yet another reboot of Hulk or Spiderman or the X-men. I think I'm generally through with live action comics.

Yup, same here. Enough with the super hero / comic book stuff already!

Well give me Batman 3. Then stop!

Yes I did (we actually missed the first minutes, because we were a little late )

Apparently they try to build a connection between all those Marvel comic movies through the appearance of characters from other comics like R. D. Junior aka Iron Man in the last Hulk movie or in this case the S.H.I.E.L.D. guys from Iron Man. Indeed, Samuel L. Jackson has a little guest appearance at the far end of the movie (like he did in Iron Man 1).
Also they dare to announce the return of Thor in "The Avengers" at the end.

I watched Cabin Fever 2 last night... It's gross!

The last decent film i watched was District 9. I thought it was brilliant and nothing i've watched recently has surpassed it.

I watched Fast Five last night with the missus...... actually not a bad movie at all.

OK, its not The Godfather (thank fuck!), but it achieves what it sets out to do, and thats entertain.

And goddamn, but i'd even state that the F&F movies are actually getting better! This one is easily the equal of the first movie, brings back a few more characters from previous movies, and Dwayne Johnson was pretty good.

Some of the action scenes are pretty good, the best being the car with Dom and Brian as it hurtles into the water, you've got to see the scene to believe it!

Just simple switch off the brain entertainment, and I don't care how much of a neanderthal that makes me sound!

I went to a Vue cinema today and watched 'Insidious'... A fairly good film with quite a few jumpy moments. It takes a little while for it to pick up the pace but i still enjoyed it

The pic above was one of the 'quick shot' moments that scared the crap out of everyone in the cinema

I watched Thor tonight, and thank fuck for Kenneth Branagh!

Intelligent, funny, great VFX, great acting, and during the action sequences, Kenneth must have gotten out the trusty Tripod and Steadicam, because fuck me, you could actually see all the action.

Bless you Lord Branagh!
