AmiMUD 3.6
Evening everyone,
I'm on a quest for AmiMUD 3.6 and a keyfile (though I think I may have a keyfile and/or keyfile maker, but I have no idea if the file isn't working or if I'm putting it in the wrong place!). I have fond memories of spending many hours playing the Nilgiri MUD (which seems to be dead now ) via Hyperterminal as an early teen, would love to get back into MUDing via the Amiga. Any help is always appreciated, still very much an Amiga n00b. Sui |

Nice quest. It seemed for a moment the Wayback Machine has version 3.6:
https://web.archive.org/web/20070624...terfree.it:80/ But when downloading the link a quick glance at the guide shows it is actually 3.5 (same as on Aminet). Datestamp of the executable is different though, so might be worth checking out. A bit offtopic. Years ago I received a beta MUD client from RobinC (Rycochet Software). I remember it was really good, but I don't have it in my archives anymore Perhaps I should initiate my own quest for that I believe it was called RMUD... EDIT: seems the Wayback Machine actually has the 3.6 version! Code:
6.Ram Disk:AmiMUD> version AmiMUD file full AmiMUD 3.6 (05/05/2001) |

About your keyfile request. SnoopDOS would tell you it searches for it in S:
Not sure if it's allowed to upload the keyfile to The Zone? Perhaps try emailing the author first? Mods, please advice. |

Amiga68k, you Sir, are a God amongst men..and squirrels.
Now for that keyfile...or what to do with the keyfile I have. ::EDIT:: Well if it looks in S, S is where I shall place it! Please hold...shenanigans are afoot. ::EDIT EDIT:: *manic laughter* It's alive...IT'S ALIVE!!!! DNS error is because I still haven't quite figured out how to make networking work in FS-UAE But this is superb progress! ::EDIT EDIT EDIT:: That is way too many edits...but it works, properly works! The DNS error wasn't because networking in FS-UAE didn't work, it was because it was trying to connect to a long-dead MUD. Once I aimed it at Sindome it fired straight up. Now just to do something about that ghastly colour scheme. Sui Last edited by Sui_Generis; 11 March 2018 at 22:21. |
