once the small package contains the Generic Slave, an older version of WHDLoad (the 14.5 works best with it) and a few icons- 2NewIcon,2OS3.5Icon and an ROM Icon (you can change the icons, just renaming the inf. file to info) Well, you have to download the game in the desired language, and rename the two ADF files on Disk1 and Disk2. Done. I have tested it on a 040 and 020 Blizzard and the game worked without problems for me, but I do not know if it is going to work on all Amiga configurations. Please remember that this is not an official release, that is why a support of someone from the WHDLoad team would be welcome. |

Dear Anachronia,
I am really happy to know your latest game, then I am also interseted in your games which you coded in the past. "Mad Locs" was your second Locomotion-style games, and it seems to be improved graphics. But I couldn't confirm whether this game released as freeware or not ...after commercial release. Is there possibility that you permit archive site(Back to the Roots, etc) to upload ADF as free downloadable, just like your first 2 games "Traders(1991)"and "Locomotion(1992)"? "Mad Locs" game also couldn't be found at ebay, btw. Last edited by nittamituaki; 05 January 2014 at 07:30. |

This is an exceptional game. I think the some of puzzles and traps are quite ingenious. The way the mission goals keep changing keeps it interesting. Picture is a Maptapper rendering of level 7.

Enemy 2: yes. But Enemy 1 - original version... uh....oh... i'm not sure. I think I would going crazy. The original version was really a little too hard - for this reason I created the 'easy-play' version of the game.
The sequel ends with level 28. (And there is a hidden bonus level.) Quote:

Oh! This is interesting! How were you able to create this image? Edit: ah, okay. Maptapper is a software. I've never heard of it before. Last edited by Anachronia; 05 January 2014 at 11:04. |

1:there is no indicator how many locomotives remain to complete a level, only an indicator of time in locomotion there is one, but I can't see one in mad locs Im doing something wrong? Im missing something? 2: you can't accelerate the locomotives pressing right mouse button like in locomotion...so the game is slow and bored for me, is there a way to accelerate the locomotives? |

This is an 'Enemy' thread, but ok...:

In the bonus round, yellow balls show you how many locomotives are left to reduce the number of tasks in the next round: Quote:
Important hint: you can let pass one locomotive by pressing right mousebutton on a branch. |

also you can accel the locomotives using space I just discover this mad locs is insane as locomotion I played until a level called "mexico city" such level is impossible unless you use save states, if you make minimum mistake or breathe some air for 2 seconds the time expires seems you have created the hardest videogames in the history of the world |

I've donated my small contribution.
It's nice to see that old commercial Amiga game developers return. Enemy2, Solid Gold, I hope more. |

I'm currently reviewing this for Amiga Future - would it be possible to have a list of level codes so I can get some screengrabs of later levels etc? I don't really have time to play the whole game through.

I agree to Sandro. And consider: As a creator of a game you know the gameplay very well and you have some lots of experience automatically. Therefore, the risk is great that you design the levels too difficult. My games are a bit too hard for this reason, it's my fault - not because I have a high IQ. Quote:
Okay, joke. In 1997 the golden era of Amiga was over, the game Enemy came too late to the market. I do not know the exact number, maybe 300 units have been sold. So you're the owner of a rare collectible, Predseda. |
