WB21 ClassicWB 68k - file/open gurus!

I have ClassicWB 68k installed (correctly) and the only problem I have is opening the file requester windows to save or load a file using the standard requester throws a guru.

Could anyone help me diagnose this issue?

Thanks!

What Rom do you have? You need to use GAAE with 2.x and 68k with 3.x Rom.

Ah i'm running KS2.04, I guess that's the issue. I am otherwise happy with 68k, do you think it's possible to swap some files out from WB2.1 disks to sort out the requester issue?

[EDIT] I just tried with with the 3.1 rom and I get a software fail

Safest thing to do is use GAAE as Bloodwych has specifically used software that's compatible with 2.x whereas 68k uses software compatible with 3.x, so it's not just isolated the base Workbench files it's potentially something else.

The dock bar can be disable and you can use the plain theme so that GAAE looks and works exactly the same as 68k

I just installed GAAE on another HDF and it is looking similar (and the file requester is working as expected). Maybe I'll just do my icon editing in that for now and copy it over. I cant be bothered customising another install, i've been using 68k v25 since 2010.

I just read you tried with 3.1 Rom. Hmm maybe your install is just broken then?

I normally just nuke and re-do the system partition if I have issues but it sounds like you have put a lot of work into your setup.

Did it always work before or just not with this Rom set?

It has always occurred as far as I can remember, but I have only been gaming on my real Amiga so havnt been too bothered by it. I think I will install 68k v28 on a HDF and decide if I want to migrate it.
