lsar.exe for listing detailed information about files in archive ( -l or -L option ). unar.exe to extract the archive. here you can choose different handling of resource forks:
Code:
-forks (-k) <visible|hidden|hfv|skip> How to handle Mac OS resource forks.
                                       "visible" creates AppleDouble files with
                                       the extension ".rsrc", "hidden" creates
AppleDouble files with the prefix "._",
"hfv" creates AppleDouble files with the
prefix "%", and "skip" discards all
                                       resource forks. Defaults to "visible".
maybe usefull.
Thanks for the link, emufan.

That program looks very useful indeed. I'll take a look at it.

I'm always a bit suspicious of Windows and/or Linux tools which claim to be able to extract Macintosh archives correctly. They never seem to work for me, so I'd really like to give the OSX versions a try.

Fortunately, I may be able to do just that. I've just found I have a Macintosh G4 Quicksilver with some version of OSX which should be good enough to run the legacy version at least.

On the other hand, if this game unpacks correctly under OSX without that tool, then I may not need it. We'll see.

Unfortunately, this little beauty was faulty when I got hold of it. I can't remember the exact nature of the fault, except that it doesn't stop the machine from working for a while, so it may be heat related.

I tried all forks options....none of them extract the files correctly
seems the zip file must be extracted in OSX only...maybe in OS 9.xx as well
I will try this later using sheep shaver and Mac OS 9

Thanks for putting me on to these games. Im using a1200 030/40 mhz on ShapeShifter with AmigaAGA-EVD external video driver - dont know if FBlit makes any difference - best result for me im running AINTD1 in low res and its working very nicely - if only the CD32 had a little more power back in the day.......
im happy to upload the french version for you unpacked in hardfile format if its any use?

yes upload the game in a hardfile thanks I want to make some experiments

btw, fblit will not make any difference in mac emulators is only for useful for workbench speed up

also you can try fusion and use built-in MMU refreshed AGA driver...is the best and fast video driver for AGA...but your 030 must have MMU

thanks m8
I downloaded the file and woks fine ,is the french version
I wonder why all the tools I tried to extract that zip file none of them worked correctly

btw, seems the text of the game is on the executable file, because I changed it in the same directory for alone in the dark demo...and the game runs fine and works in english excepting of course the audio of the intro is in french language

maybe the game will work correctly in english language ? would have to play it to the end
I was googling for savegames to test if I can access to the other parts of the game but I couldn't found nothing
