Bluray question.

Hi,

Any chance of using Bluray drives on an A1200? Seems like it might work if the disks are in ISO (works for DVDs) format.

Any thoughts?

depends.

do you mean a data disc 25 gig? then probably not.

do you mean the drive itself to use cd's and dvd data discs upto 4gig,then probably yes.

Amiga BD (UDF 2.x) filesystem does not exist. (yet?). I don't think there are any ISO BDs.

Sounds like the old 4gig limit. Perhaps IdeFix will help here. Plausible?

Indeed, but would it work with Bluray (re)writables? Seeing how Bluray videos and peecee Blurays are of no use anyway, it would only have to work with self burnt ISO Blurays. Possible?

It would be handy for large backups, and of course for the novelty factor.
