Micronik infintiv snap-on kits needed, case wont close.

I have recently succesfully installed the micronik 6860 busboard into my A1200T towered system which is in a micronik infintiv case.

When my accelerator card is attached ot the expansion port pass-through, it is taller than the case! So the top lid will not fit on. This seems odd as the busboard is designed for my case and all accelerators are the same size.

Micronik did produce snap-on kits that added a 5.25" bay ontop of the exisiting two making the toer taller. These look extremely hard to track down.

Any ideas? or am I going to have to leave the lid off?

thats a shame my friend. i have a micronik tower (with the extra bays) but i had to pay through the nose to get them unfortunately...

i think it was just 90 inc.p+p for the case (no psu) via ebay. and the very next week there was a standard tower with A12mobo and 040 blizzard (16MB) ram sold for 85

one of the wierdest things though is that i cannot fit my A1200 trapdor expansion apollo 060, it wont fit.. the chip and more specifically the 3.3v regulator get in the way....

in a word the case is BADLY designed.

but hey, i picked up a micronik Z3 bussboard (r686) with onboard scsi, 2x zorro 2, 3x zorro 3, 3pci (non active) and 1 A3000 / A4000 cpu slot. ( i have a cyberstorm Mk2 with 128MB ram on there too) gets really tight behind the 3.5 inch bays
