Marvellous
It runs very well and fast. A couple of things though: - Couldn't it use the FPPrefs? - Can't it be done without FPU? Thanks a lot. Edit: I've asked now at A-Org these things. |

New test build up http://www.unsatisfactorysoftware.co...php?pg=netsurf
this one uses GuiGFX and Render library. Download them from aminet.net. It has some color problems with AGA / RTG is OK. Now it is about 30% faster. Amiga.org loads 23 seconds with 060 66mhz. Memory leak / fragmention is still there, so it slows down when surfing. Chris would appreciate help from skilled debugger. Usefull with 32mb ram and still requires OS3.5/9 |

Sandro: There is a problem, wich one you tried? Netsurf_os3 or netsurf-m68k?
First one is based of original netsurf source tree, original netsurf desktop engine. Latter one is based SDL/Framebuffer wich is meant to be used no gui systems and debugging. https://listmaster.pepperfish.net/pi...ry/001739.html Quote:

What you mean version 3.0? There is no such a thing, or hasn't been for years. Last edited by utri007; 29 April 2016 at 20:30. |

You must use emulated enviroment, as that use Arthur's fork is very useable.
With real amiga it is not so useable. What I have tried it is very unstable and locks amiga for long time when downloading, it has no proper gui, it doesn't have actual settings window, it has different versions for AGA/RTG, it requires quite much more memory, it is much slower on real hardware, etc. Are you using AGA or RTG? Picasso96 UAE driver? If so you need to add one line to choises file manually. As said it is beta for testing purposes and every error report would be usefull for Chris. NetSurf for OS3.5/9 released
I have updated my version too.
Most important change is new Preferences made with MUI. I made it with MUIBuilder which is great for noobs. Other than this ttf and non-ttf fonts are now merged in one binary. Libs and sources has been updated to newest versions. I've compiled everything with gcc 3.4 because I read it generates better 68k code and produces smaller exe. Like utri007 said this version works best under emulated environment. Archive available from aminet |

I just tried this version it works but on readme file says it support youtube videos but it doesn't work here, is an external program required? also downloading a file it doesn't work here, there is a profile to add ??? I don't understand nothing ,why a profile is required to download a file ? I think is far better the downloading system of 3.0 version: is working btw, are you Arthur? |

From V3.3 wallget is default download manger, because it has many features and nice MUI gui. It requires download profile. Simply copy netsurf/env/wallget folder into SYS:Prefs/Env-archive and reset. But, if you prefer previous manager - httpresume , select it from Prefs , tab Other and choose netsurf/c/httpresume. Quote:

If you have image load problems, then you have datatype configuration problem on you setup. It uses datatypes and if datatypes are configured correctly all images are displayded. Works as a default. (If you have tried aminet version) Considering crashing, I have high doubts that there is some other problems also on you setup. Though this is from README : THIS IS EARLY BETA QUALITY SOFTWARE FOR TESTING ONLY. ALL USE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. IT *WILL* CRASH! It is very stable with real amiga, it is useable with 32mb ram and current beta is much faster than other versions. Last edited by utri007; 01 May 2016 at 18:22. |
