Ok I take your word for it. So based on the questions I answered, am I interview worthy? Or were you only joking. Thanks again

What, about spelling and grammar? How does relate to the 'jobs' page on amigakit's website.

its probably not worth trying to get a job in a small business they like to stay small.
i couldnt find the job section either.not that im looking for one.a job that is. but then again, you could try to send them a letter to there mailing address on spec, and see if they have anything. |

What are your strengths?
I am a fun going lovable Amiga user of 20 years +. I have a big dislike to any Atari ST user and currently hold an Anti-ST-Behaviour-Order. I also make a good cup of tea and bring in a weekly supply of biscuits. What are your weaknesses? I don't believe in weaknesses because they are exactly that - weakness! How many years expereince to you have fixing Amigas? I've saved several Amiga boards from the dreaded barrel of doom battery What is the best way to deal with a difficult customer? Put the phone down on the table and go make a cup of tea. By the time you come back they'll have had enough. Why do you want to work for Amigakit? Because FOL works there. What is your expected salary? £30k per annum + car allowance + pension + free Amiga and OS4.1 updates |

You then wrote: Which, if you'd read TCD's link, you would realise should have been 'why is there no jobs page on their website? ' This sort of simple grammar mistake doesn't really matter on 'teh interwebz', but when submitting a written test review it may look unprofessional and detract from the overall impression you are trying to make. My apologies if I have offended you, but I was just trying to gently point you in the right direction. |

That's helpful, thanks. I am surprised how small the amigakit company is in the uk as it's the premier supplier of amiga gear. By that i mean the number of employee's working there. everyone who buys amiga hardware and software for there computers in Britain surely buys there gear from amigakit. Unless the amiga community is a lot smaller than I thought.

Because it's a niche?
I know someone who used to work at B2B computer equipment reseller company. They were three people. The owner (doing accounting, planning etc.), a sales guy and one maintaining the warehouse / packing. Some days they would ship out 5-10 pallets of goods. On busy days, the owner and the sales guy would help out with the packing/shipping as well. Amigakit also does repairs, and one tech could probably manage that, which would make it four people required. You may know several people who have bought from them, but most of their customers are probably active in Amiga forums. |

So do you think it's pointless applying for a job at amigakit. Will they say yes or no.

It is still worth a try if you are really interested. You have probably already spent more time in this thread than what would be needed to send them your application.
But since it is a small company, don't get too high expectations. Even if your profile were a perfect match for one of their currently-filled job, they might not be recruiting at the moment (unlike some big companies which are almost always recruiting). |

I'd totally love to work for Amigakit, since I'm a solder junkie, and seeing a lot of different Amigas daily would just make me happy

Why did amigakit ask me those 'questions about working at amigakit' to be interview worthy if they haven't even responded to my answers yet.is it even possible to work at amigakit as an online employee, from home? Or do you have to work at the company's workshop. t...h...a...n...k...s a...g...a...i...n...

please dont take this the wrong way,but why are you asking these questions here? why dont you ask amigakit directly. and what questions did amigakit ask you that you needed to answer them here? and no,i dont think for a second they would let you work from home for them.why would they? and what would you be doing for them from home? |

If it is the latter, then you really should visit your local employment office to sign up for some free jobseeker and interview technique training. Ps @RoyBates +1 |
