@Crank79
You still need the kickstart rom itself, so copy it from your Windows HD into your Emulated Amiga HD and rename it |

Just get ClassicWB. Whole life gets much easier with that.

Erm, just wanted to ask, does any WHDLoad slave install ever need kick33192.A500? Looking through Google I've only found one occasion where a slave could use kick40063.A600, everything else seems to use 1.3 or 3.1.

To be honest MethodGit, you only really need the a500 and the a1200 (or a4000) ones.
I just put the others in there for completeness In fact in this thread > http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=19029 JOTD explains about the 1.2 kickstart |

Do u have to use this Grabkick program? I have the roms which were once kickstart roms, but are now like your setup... named to match the RTB files and still get the error message? Ive read many people have done it right, but it still not working, and am wondering if there may be specific settings needed in Winuae itself?

sweet i found out the hardway, but when in the instructions it says rename the copied rom file the same as the RTB file, I had done that, but some clever guy realised that you have to delete the rom extension after renaming... I would never have guessed that... Right only 1 problem left and itll all be running at least lol
If I change any options and resave over the winuae's config file (that gets made via winuaeloader) , it no longer goes straight into a game any more, but takes me to the winuae options which i then have to press start every time. Could u tell me a way around this please? Thankyou. |
