Your Top 5 Best Looking Amiga Games
Yeah yeah another 'top blah blah' list.
What do you rate as your top 5 most graphically impressive Amiga games. 'Experts' always bang on about how graphics don't really matter and that it's gameplay what's really important. This is mostly true, but graphics do matter and some quality placed pixels (vectors) go a long way. Heres mine. 1. Gods - Stunningly realised visuals from Mr Coleman. 2. The Chaos Engine - Steampunk+Dan Malone= 8) 3. Ruff n' Tumble - Beautiful showcase for the Amiga. 4. Lemmings - So much personality from so few pixels! 5. Heimdall - Gorgeous isometric stuff from Jerr OCarroll. |

I have to tell you, that you have a mild list fetish Dast
Okay, my top 5 in alphabetical order (Turrican 2 being of course 1st ) Gods - what Dast said Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis - Not AGA, but it looks damn nice Lionheart - Not my favourite game of the sort, but for non-AGA it's really impressive Shadow of the Beast (2/3) - Still like the style Turrican 2 - Just because No really, great graphics |

1. Lionheart - Henk Nieborg
2. Agony - No further explanation needed. 3. Project-X - Rico Holmes did an amazing job, especially level 3. 4. Turrican II - Shouldn't need any further explanation. 5. Premiere - Stellar cartoon'ish graphics. |

Something always bugged me about Lionheart's graphics and I've just realised that Nieborg's backgrounds are gorgeous, but his sprites are horrible!

I liked them. Although the main character (who reportedly looks similar to Henk himself) is... erm... well you know.... a bit CAMP looking when he moves

Can't make an order out of these
Flashback - beautiful and believable worlds with stunning animation Transarctica - again just the most amazing atmosphere from such amazing artwork B17 Flying Fortress - the statics are all all so lovingly created and gorgeous with the 3d world itself one of the most convincing on Amiga Lionheart - a crime not to put this in as it's technically fantastic and drawn so incredibly well King of Chicago - possibly an odd choice but it's one of the finest example of style on Amiga adding to the whole experience i think I'd like to put at least one for Dan Malone's here as he made my time in Chaos Engine a glorious one and he does such fantastic art, but iv'e run out of room I think super stardust has some quite amazing graphics technically but they don't look to be drawn(well the ships at least) which i do find to be always more impressive here Probably my choices are more arty but i do like beautifully realised work more than anything |
