FOR SALE: Blizzard MkIV 6030 with full SCSI kit
Well I am finally back from France and ready to sell the blizzard card. It is boxed and has a 32mb ram board in it. Includes the full SCSI kit with ribbon cable, back plate and instructions.
All working 100% and for sale at £225 plus a little towards the P&P. Forgot to say I WILL split these two items if anyone wants JUST the SCSI kit, I am looking for £80 inc P&P |

It is all absolutely as new.
I am embarrassed to admit I never actually used the SCSI kit for anything other than using the extra ram slot for upping my available memory. I LIED! Forgot I had a Zip drive and a CD drive hooked up to it when I was using hard disk recorders for multitrack audio! Bought the kit "just in case" I ever went back to SCSI drives. Since I have decided to keep the A1200, I would be equally happy with selling the whole accelerator and buying a ram/RTC board to replace it, or parting out just the SCSI kit. Might you be interested in a swap for a lesser 030 card plus cash? A DKB viper.
I'd be after the whole bundle really, but maybe just the blizzard if electroblaster decides to take the scsi. |

jimbob - I am still open to offers, no deals actually made yet, but getting more and more confused as to what is a fair price for any of this.
What speed is your viper? 28?33? Does it need anything special in the way of device driver software? |

It's a 40MHz 68ec030 and a 33Mhz 68882. Actually those speeds might be the other way around, I'll have to check. Does your blizzard have an FPU?
The only software is the utility for mapROM type function, it is useful but not required. These cards do need a firmware upgrade to recognise the RAM when using a 3.1 ROM. This one has been done and takes up to 128MB simms. This isn't Amibay but electroblaster was in first so I'll not make an offer until after you guys agree a deal or not. |

(grin) EB and I have been in dialogue over this for a couple of months!
Right now all he wants is the SCSI kit and unless I get a really decent offer, I am inclined to let him have it and just stick with the Blizzard in my A1200, even though it is prolly far more performance than I need right now. These days all I do is MIDI sequencing! Seems like a sledgehammer to crack a nut having any kind of 030 really, doesnt it? I am returning to France on Sunday night but will still have internet of a sort there. Frankly I would far rather someone gave me £225 and P&P for the pair. Judging by what I see on here and ebay, that is a very fair price. |

Hi, looks like EB has got a SCSI kit over on Amibay. I'm sending you a PM.

OK - Still available.
Same price, £225 for the lot, plus £5 postage or you could collect from north Cambridgeshire. Will probably end up keeping it if it doesn`t go very soon. Oh - I have been asked if it has a FPU and it doesn`t. Thanks for looking! |
